    The picture of the lander's leg reminds me of the Viking landers.

    It's funny that with a Mars landing "don't screw the pooch" is the rallying cry.

    It's landed safely, which is awesome. We have a couple of months of data before we lose it. Since it's in the North Pole, it will eventually be covered in dry ice and lose its solar power.

    I find it incredible they could take an image of Phoenix from an orbiter. Lets hope they will finally find some conclusive answers about the planet.
