... the proverbial pin.

I've been overshooting my upload/download limit recently on my internet package and paying through the nose for the privilage. I'm allowed 60 GB and I've found that I've been using about 55 GB worth of downloads and 30 GB of uploads

I've been downloading some stuff pretty heavily because my computer was recently completely wiped but how does one get that much uploading? a virus scan hasn't come up with any viruses to worry about so I'm stumped.

I play games online and upload screenshots for AARs and other things but could this account for 30 GBs?

How is it stainless steel can stain?

I kinda know the answer to this, but perhaps someone can enlighten me on something I don't know.

I have a surge protector that has two lights next to the switch. One of them is red, and the label below it says "protecting" and the other light is green and says "grounded". I plugged it in and the red light came on, but not the green one. Why is that? And what's the importance of "grounding"?

I'm not exactly a metallurgist, but I'll take a crack at explaining this.

Stainless steel is created by combining steel with another metal, usually chromium. This arrangement trades the metals' properties. Steel is strong, but it rusts. Chromium doesn't rust, but it is relatively weak. By combining 90% steel and 10% chromium a balance is reached that doesn't rust easily and is still strong enough to be useful. To the point: it rusts because it is 90% steel.

Yes, like bob says chromium doesn't rust, it forms a 'tenacious' oxide on the surface (aluminium does too) which prevents further corrosion underneath unlike rust which flakes. This oxide layer is thin enough for the surface of the metal to be visible underneath.

It is probally the layer of chrome oxide that has stained rather than the metal its self.

Grounding gives the machine a place to direct any power surge to. That 3rd prong needs to be plugged into a grounded outlet. Sometimes people install the 3 prong outlet, but do not correctly install it so the grounding does not work.

Things are warming up around here and I have a pond outside my bedroom. That said, I have a gnat problem, no matter how many I swat there are more. What's a good way to debug a room or deter these little devils?

i don't believe official statistic on the number of asian illegal immigrants. Only around 1 million in America.
Are the officials confused because they can't tell apart asians from one another and their names? (Chin Ling, Cung Leung).
Could the number of Asian illegal immigrants be MUCH higher then 1 million? (like, 4 million?)

Does exercise really help with depression?

I don;t understand what endorphins is.
But f you do something that makes you proud then yeah. You can pretend your getting really strong and sexy after each workout :)) its fun.

Why do you think that 1 million is too few?

Why do you think that 1 million is too few?

I think we have many duplicate Asians.
For instance, within an illegal community, they pass around one legal passport to everybody.
Since they all look a like and no one bothers to read the names either, because they are hard to pronounce and many times names are repeated.
That is my thinking, why I do not trust the official stats for asian illegals.

Slightly.

Why do you think that is so?

That only applies to Chinese and Koreans though. Seriously, the Koreans have like 300 surnames in their whole country.

Could be the case. Though that also means Canadian immigrant officials are just stupid. We don't look that alike.

Does exercise really help with depression?

In one of the 7th graders' classroom, there is this pamphlet where it says "physical activity makes you high". Basically, strenuous activity releases chemicals (it's widely thought to be endorphins, but some thinks that it could be something else) that give you a feeling of "well being".

I think it could help a little with it. It might depend on just how depressed you are.

Does exercise really help with depression?

If your staring to feel burning then yes, becuase along with that burn comes the endorphinic release as a coping and motivation method that your body has in place to keep you from avoiding the pain of exercise like you would any other pain, its your bodies way of motivating you to "touch the hot stove again" so to speak, only this burn ultimately helps you.

It doesn't solve it, but it can make the person a little more positive, making it easier to solve it.
