Scabies would be visible.

It could be a lack of sunlight or moisture, leading to weak or dry skin. If you don't have a rash or anything visible, it's probably that. If not, you may have a vitamin deficiency or an unknown allergy. If it keeps up, see your doctor. If they still don't find anything, see a shrink.

Since everybody on the Random Rants thread thinks everybody hates them, can I start a poll to figure out who hates who just for reference?

Sure. Include an 'all of the above' option, as well as a 'giant radioactive monkeys' one.

If you suffer from itching, it can be liver as well as skin problems. If you know you've something likely to give your liver a knock then it's probably just that.
Otherwise, try washing.

what is a "six gun town"? (in context)

Are people who make (draw and/or paint) Anime art better at coming up with unique creatures and animals than other artists?

I draw anime style a lot, but I think this is simple.

Nooooo. Imagination has no style.

Artists who draw in actual anime style - i.e. the Japanese artists themselves - just seem to have this fetish for the weird and odd in art, however, and so naturally, they scrape every corner of their mind for ideas...

...hence the "weirdness" of Japanese culture. It may be odd, but it's just a sign they're not afraid of getting in touch with their imagination. ;)

Furthermore, think about concept art for all the videogames, horror movies, etc. of the world. Plenty of imagination there for new creatures.

Escher is good proof that you don't need to draw anime to have an imagination.

My favourite artist. Indeed, imagination is widespread. District 9 provided the world with new imaginative life-forms just last year, as did Avatar for that matter.

For some reason, I've been getting random itches at random spots all over my body literally every ten to thirty seconds that I *have* to scratch. It happens especially when I go to bed. It's been going on for a few months now. There's not a *single* bug bite anywhere.

Is there something going on?
Have you changed your laundry detergent or other laundry products just prior to this problem? If so, you may be allergic to your laundry soap, water softener, fabric softener, etc.

Moderator Action: NO!

I think I should get a mods approval or something:p
Moderator Action: Yes, you should. And consider it asked and denied.

Is there a rule as to when mods are supposed to use the green/blue/red text, or can they use it interchangeably?

Ferrari are apparently making some of their new cars semi-hybrid, which got me thinking...

Is there any reason why the electric motors of a regenerative breaking car should be the same as the petrol driven wheels? In the case of a rear wheel drive sports car could the front wheels not be the electrically driven acceleration boosters? Wouldnt this give the car more grip while accelerating?

On a related note, and not specifically related to sports cars at all, would it not be possible for a car with one gas powered set of wheels and one electric set to have some kind of ice/ snow mode. Use the engine to generate power to provide a limited drive to the other set of wheels. It would require the alternator to be capable of being variable, but that would be trivially easy. Even if such a mode only worked at low speeds, how fast do people really drive under such conditions?
