Such as Perikles or Herakles. I think it's somewhat like saying "sub yoo-dee-kay" rather than the more normal "sub joo-dissy".
 
I think it looks silly to spell it that way.
 
I prefer it. "C" is a redundant letter anyway- it should be re-purposed as a hard "ch" ("loch", "nacht", "Chaym", Ahmed", etc.), or left to die. :p
 
If it looks like a κ and sounds like a k, shouldn't we transliterate it as a k?
 
Halloween is soon and is an awesome time for messing with people, and I always try to mess with as many people as possible. Last year I went as Sarah Palin, this year I need something like that, I thought I would do a burka/hijab this year because of the whole mosque stuff so it might be funny to wear a burka but my friend is doing the burka this time so we both can't wear the same thing.

I figured I'll be a Twilight vampire for Halloween and I need to find some sort of sparkly dress, a pink one or maybe white so I can coat it in blood real blood, I figure hey why not go all the way yeah? Or maybe I'll be Kate Beckinsale and get a tight leather body suit. Oh the possibilities.

I would take any other suggestions, but female costumes only.
 
In the Halloween episode Ted always goes as a hanging chad becuase he's a loser searching for his Slutty Pumpkin which he never finds and as Barney says its a pretty lame costume, going as a teabag would be just as lame as Ted going as a hanging chad, but on the other hand going as Barney would be pretty awesome now that I think about it but I don't think I could pull it off. It should be clearer now or maybe its the sleep deprivation and the caffine talking it does weird things to me after awhile, did you know if you don't sleep for 3-4 days you'l start to hallucinate?

Of course you can! You always see the burqa-ladies going down the street in pairs or groups. That's part of what makes the reactionaries so scared of them- they're like a mini-Black Bloc! ;)
