Greetings from the Community!

We are a delegation sent by Brother McNulty of the Spiritualists. We are a religion of the Community, one that worships the four main Spirits of the World, Terra, Pyra, Aqua and Aria. We have been sent to Fanatika to attend a religious parade that the Jedis are going to hold. But we would also like to spread the message of the Spirits to you good people as well.
Also, we would very much like to learn about the beliefs and religions that Fanatika has to offer. If members of the various religions could introduce themselves and their beliefs here, we would be grateful. And of course, if anyone has any questions on Spiritualism, we would be happy to enlighten you.

As none of the religious leaders have decided to enlighten us about their religions, we will tell you about Spiritualism.

We believe that four main Spirits watch us from the place of the Spirits. They protect the faithful from those who would do them harm.

Terra is the Spirit of the Earth. She is symbolised by the mother wolf, strong and fiercely protective of her young. The people who need the earth, such as farmers and hunters, miners and builders, all pay homage to her.

Pyra is the eldest son of Terra. He is the Spirit of Fire. A mighty dragon is his symbol. He controls all fire, from the sun in the sky to raging volcanoes, to the warmest campfire. He is also the Spirit of War! Soldiers as well as blacksmiths consider him their main Spirit.

Aqua is the Spirit of the Waters and the younger son of Terra. He is the main Spirit of the fishermen and the sailors. He controls the seas and the lakes, the streams and the rivers. The rain from the sky is also his responsibility. If angered or offended, he can cause severe droughts or floods! His symbol is the noble dolphin.

Aria is the fourth of the main Spirits. She is the daughter of Terra and the Spirit of the Winds and the Air. The gentlest breeze to the howling gales are her responsibilities. She controls all flying birds, while her mother controls the beasts of the land and Aqua, the creatures of the waters.

There are also other Spirits. They are called Lesser Spirits and have specific tasks or responsibilities to perform.

The Spiritualists were founded by Brother McNulty before our Community was even settled. The Spirits came to him in a vision and bade him tell all about them. Since then, he and others in the ranks of the faithful, have had further visions that give us more information about them. Recently, Brother McNulty went on a long journey of discovery, where he said that he actually saw the Place of the Spirits in a powerful vision. He said that those who have left their lives can join the Spirits in the place of the Spirits if they have led lives of worth and faith.

Our Core Beliefs

Spiritualists believe in enlightenment. Education and research is encouraged. New discoveries are considered gifts from the Spirits.

We also believe that a person's occupation and lifestyle determine which Spirit they should worship the most. For example, a farmer should favour Terra, while a soldier should worship Pyra if he wants to be successful in battle.

We believe that our ancestors are our allies in the afterlife. If we honour them, they will strive to encourage the Spirits to let us join them in the Place of the Spirits when our lives end.

Spiritualists are also non-political in that they choose not to join political parties or run for elected office. That is not to say that they would not speak out if they felt that the government was doing something against the will of the Spirits.


Now that we have begun to answer some questions on our religion, perhaps the other religious leaders will tell us about their religions.

Sorry, but I don't think Fanatika has a religion. Through if we did it would be one filled with greedy people.

Octavian has a church, and there is the Jedi Council. There is also some other church that I don't remember anything about.

Last night, Sister Eve had a vision. She saw an eagle circling over the land of Fanatika before comming in to land. As you know, the eagle is the symbol of Aria, the Spirit of the Winds and the Air.

We have made an important decision. We believe that our destiny is now to remain in Fanatika and set up a branch of Spiritualism here. We therefor are sending word to our leader Brother McNulty, that we are staying here beyond the time of the religious parade. It is our hope that we will bring the message of the Spirits to our cousins in Fanatika.

May the Spirits watch over you all!

Since our decision to stay here indefinately was taken, we both have been wondering how we are to survive in a society such as yours. In the Community, we have no established commerse, let alone currency. We definately cannot live off the good graces of Ambassador Maniacalmonkey. That would be wrong! Therefor, we ask you if there is some job or other employment that we may undertake to raise enough money to live on. We do not require much, as we are a modest couple. We need only a roof over our heads and a couple of good meals a day. The task of spreading Spiritualism will take up much of our time, but we in the Community are not afraid of hard work.
We ask for your guidence.

Well, everyone here gets paid a base salary of 100 gold per turnchat. Thats usually enough to live off of. The government provides free housing (I think...) Otherwise, check with some of our fine eating and shopping establishments to see if anyone is hiring.

Your can sleep in the Jedi Temple at any time you want. It's better than public housing.

This truly is a land of milk and honey. We feel blessed that the people of Fanatika are so generous to us humble missionaries.
We intend to work tirelessly to bring the word of the Spirits to this place. We have already sent back to Brother McNulty in Primus that we will not be comming back for the forseeable future. We hope that he understands that our destiny lies in this land.

Blessings be upon you Brother Shaitan. Our hearts' sing at the news that you have come to embrace the Spirits. We will of course take up your kind offer to visit you in the Marillion, but that will have to be after the religious parade.
We are of course eager to get our Mission up and running, but this is a strange land to us. The concept of currency is unknown in the Community, as is purchasing land and building materials.
Firstly we will need to find out how much a scrap of land will cost us. Then, how much to build our Mission. Finally, we will need to raise the gold to pay for it. The Spirits have given us a difficult task indeed, but we shall rise to it. Wise Aria guide us in the comming days.

Land tiles generally cost between 100 gold pieces and 500 gold pieces each. They become available as our borders expand. There are currently no tiles left from the Land Office. There is a tile that was purchased by Acroama Homes that will be auctioned off starting today but that is likely to go for more than 1000g.

Building your mission will be very easy for you. The government assists first time businesses, even non-profit ones, paying for your first buildings. They even pay to have Apro, Poe & Nuffin (my legal firm) assist you through the startup process.

It could be some time before more land becomes available. I would welcom your mission in Seabrake. There would be none of that rent nonsense either. It can be moved later if you do acquire some land of your own.

Tomorrow is a Holy Day in the Community. It is the day that we thank Terra for the rich harvest that she has given the land. There is normally a Festival that the Spiritualists perform on this day, and we have decided that since the harvest has been so good here in Fanatika, we should thank the Spirits here as well.

Therefor, we are going to have a Harvest Festival tomorrow, before the religious parade that the Jedi have organised. Since we have no Mission yet, it will be held in the open air, in the town of Bavaria. All are welcome, you are encouraged to bring some produce with you to donate to the less fortunate.

Welcome to the Spiritualists Harvest Festival. We come together to thank the four main Spirits of our religion, Terra, Pyra, Aqua and Aria, along with the Lesser Spirits, for a bountiful harvest.

The Festival begins with a song of Thanksgiving

Spirit of Harvest, Spirit of Field,
Give thanks now to Terra, in nature revealed.

Give thanks to the Sun, the Wind and the Rain,
And thanks to the crops that feed us again.
The grain safely cut, is gathered inside,
We thank you, Oh Terra, for all you provide!

Our friends. Another harvest is gathered in, and we have much to thank the Spirits for. They have been generous and have denied us nothing.
But we must always be worthy of that generousity. We must never take the Spirits for granted. Let us pray.

Oh Terra, Pyra, Aqua and Aria, we are your people, even in this far-away land. We will continue to worship you and strive to bring your words to the Fanatikans. Thank you for all you do for us all. In your name.

We are a fortunate people indeed to enjoy the fruits of the land. Let the people of the Community and the people of Fanatika forge ever closer links in the future. Let the worship of the Spirits bring us all together.

Well, it's getting near the time for the religious parade, again. It's been a busy day, what with the Festival and now the parade. We are almost ready again.

BTW, we have heard tell of a religion that was up to now unknown to us. It is called 1st United Church of the Holy Kitanafian Order. Does anyone have any information on this religion. Is it still being practised? What is it's relationship to the Jedis and the doughnut worshippers. Are there any other religions outside of the ones we have mentioned here that you know of?
