I am playing as Babylon on King, all standard, playing on a continent congested with four other civilizations. There was Korea to the north, Germany sparely spread throughout the northern half, with Berlin in the north east. China was land locked in the middle of the continent. Giulioland was located south west, with England neighboring on the south east. I had utilized some variation of tradition’s four city opener, while b-lining in techs like writing, and philosophy. Moreover, I was amassing an army of bowmen. England declared war on me, and had invaded with many units. Then China had declared war as well, flooding their many units around my capital’s region. I had fended off the English, with my powerful range attacks. Then, since I had a ton of money from trade, I was able to work out a deal to have Germany declare war on China. A couple turns later, England had surrendered, abdicating a ton of money. I had rounded up my troops, and sent them towards Beijing. Germany, had defeated China, and occupied their capital. This was a significant turn of events for them, since it had united their empire’s scattered territory. Therefore, being the realist I am, found it necessary to declare war on Germany immediately, defeat their weakened army, and conquer the middle territory for myself. I badly defeated Bismarck’s troops with many waves of falling arrows. Germany had signed a peace treaty with me that forced them to relinquish a ton of wealth. I then gathered my troops outside of Berlin. I prepared during the interwar period, and then attacked and occupied Berlin immediately. I had tried to maintain peaceful relations afterwards. I attacked Germany several times, taking some other cities, in retaliation to their aggression towards my friend Korea. England had tried to force Hinduism on my people, and ceased to desist. Therefore, I had denounced, and declared war on them. I had swiftly occupied their capital, and forced them to hand over Nottingham as well. Now all that remains of England is York. The Germans are continuing their aggression towards Korea, and both they and England are guarded towards me. Right now, I have almost double the score of every other civilization. I’m focusing on producing science specialists. I’ve built a technological paradise, protected by the Great Wall, which surrounds a number of academies. I had industrialized sometime time in the 1200s AD. I am eventually planning on annexing the puppet-cities, to create more science specialists, and GSs. I don’t want to conquer the world, I want the Giulioites to proliferate throughout the universe.
Many centuries of progress had passed, with small wars with Germany, and Austria that all fell in my favor. Germany had destroyed Korea; therefore, I had invaded the German-occupied Seoul, which housed many wonders. I had liberated Bussan, but held on to Seoul. Despite being a game-long adversary of Bismarck, I had destroyed the Austrian army, when they had tried to prey on Germany. For eons, I was in control of roughly 80 percent of the continent, while I allowed my neighbors to exist in its barren outer regions (which is me playing mister nice guy). I had annexed a number of my occupied cities, and set all of the cities under my control to produce science specialists. While my greatest rival was floundering at the dawn of their industrial revolution, I was solidly in the information age. I had killed many spies trying to steal our technology, and had eventually constructed the Great Firewall. When the Austrians landed on my shores with cannons, and riflemen in the 1850s, I had annihilated them with bombers, artillery rockets, and helicopters. By 1923, my people had completed the spaceship which was put on course to terra form Alpha Centuri.
