At one point we had different plans for revealing it, but in the end we couldn't keep it a secret forever and had to announce it before the game was released. I figure letting you know now is better than letting you guys try to figure out what it is for weeks after release!

Erm I thought you had to do something special to reveal the secret unit... How lame is this. When was this ever secret? The only secret thing about this is that it was a secret that a unit already revealed was in fact the 'secret' unit. WTH?

I'm going to continue to pretend that its Sephiroth. And I will not stop playing Civilization V until I find out how to unlock Sephiroth! ... And even then I'll keep playing because I'll want to play as Sephiroth.

That or a Giant Death Gandhi. GDG > GDR.

What I don't understand is why didn't he reveal this when he revealed the secret unit? I mean, why didn't he say, hey guys, this is the secret unit. Or at least not reveal the GDR???
