Ive been working on a Star Wars mod lately,
right now I'm working on the UI elements and not diving into the base game yet. Ive come up with lots of ideas and thoughts but I wanted to know what you guys think.
Here is a rough list:
- As of now since (I don't know how to edit terrains to make space), you will be able to pick a planet like Tatooine then choose between doing a 1v1, 2v2, 4v4 or 8v8 and maybe 10v10, which would make it a team battle between the Rebels and the Empire. As of now I'm working on the Empire and the Rebellion, I plan to add the Republic and CIS later.
- Instead of policies you recieve shipments from the orbiting fleet, which could be upgrades or unit shipments or both. The final shipment will give you a hero, which is Luke and Darth Vader for now.
- Instead of population we'll have Base (City=Base) Value which ranks how vital that base is on the map also giving you bonuses to production and shipments.
- Instead of specialists, they're are called droids. For instance an Astromech droid, which will help improve your base in various ways.
- I'm scratching Happiness and technology completely (Unless you guys can think of something to be put instead of them...?), to make the mod more combat base rather then civilization like. In your cities you can produce upgrades which will improve specific units in various ways and give them unique capabilities.
- To unlock new units you have to build projects just like the RED WW2 mod
- Each civilization is completely unique, every unit
- There will be city states which of course depend on the map, each city state has two unique units, if you ally with them then you have access to those units among other things.
- Command Points which are also used to get shipments, expand your territory just like culture.
Right now there are 0 3D star wars units so if any one has that skill it would be great
