My personal preferance has allways been Pepsi (in america)
but when I went to mexico I tasted it I way to flat, so then I tryed the coke and tasted even better than american pepsi
seeing as how these are both ran by american companys I don't really know why ??? has anyone else noticed anything like that?

(*disclaimer a lot of mexican resturants will give you watered down soda if it is a place where there is almost allways tourist-so don't base the taste off that )

I read about this somewhere, I think it might have been snopes. Anyways, yeah, they do vary from country to country.

Some places here in Kansas City import Coca-Cola from Mexico because the Mexican version tastes different than the American.

In Mexico cane sugar is used instead of corn syrup.

I like Mexican Coke too.

I knew it was something ... no what the hell is wrong with mexican pepsi?
maybe the reverse there or something

I don't know if it's just me or if the formula does change, but it seems like the Pepsi doesn't taste in the same in California, Hawaii, New York, etc. as it does in the Upper Midwest.

I've only drank soda here in Southern Illinois. Coca-Cola is the only soft-drink for me. I can't think of anything I've drank outside of where I live besides water.

Maybe it's a Minnesota thing. I've got to Alaska and the Pepsi tasted the same there. And I don't recall a difference in Denver or San Francisco.

In Kansas City, btw.

WellI know there's floride (SPL?) in the water (varying levels too) in some citys but ...I would think they have there own source of purified water ...after all coke makes dasani right?

i prefer pepsi, but everyone else in the entire famliy likes coke, so i 99% of the time am the who doesnt get his way

Pah, they all taste the same.

Such ignorance.
Coke tastes a bit like caramel while Pepsi tastes a bit like cinnamon and honey.
In Germany, that is...

Well, In America, Coke tastes like Pepsi and Pepsi tastes like Coke.

They both taste the same regardless on what part of the planet youre on :p.

I can tell you with full authority from first hand experience that Coke and Pepsi both taste very different in Japan.

And they both taste worse.

I dont know what it is, but a lot of stuff in Japan just tastes like crap - candy, soda, gum, just about any confection (pocky sticks are the only exception). But I do like Japanese beer - thats one of the few things that tastes just fine.

Do the diet versions taste the same? They don't use sugar so the corn syrup/cane sugar variable shouldn't be a factor.
