The Underdogs

Yes, yes, thank you for that boost in score. I am only 25 points short of catching up with Kazakhstan. Can you explain how you got that free scientist in your capital?

It was that random event where some kind of herbal remedy gets discovered in a jungle and I paid the money for extra health and a free scientist.

Sigh, I hope someone still manages to beat you. Get to it Nighthawk, you have to avenge me!

I had nothing to do with Iran's declaration. Maybe because most of the American troops were way down in Africa they thought they could grab Iraq? who knows...

Anyway, I have captured all but one of Kenya's cities and 2 of 3 Iranian cities so far... Most of my acquired cities are half-destroyed or were nuked to hell and back. Baghdad was also nuked, including lose FOUR flood plains to now becoming useless desert... But my score should climb as my people rebuild and start having babies again...

Unfortunately my ability to attack Colombia is limited being a civ that only recently got cities with naval access, and those that I do have are, again, half-destroyed and nuked to hell. My only hope to actually "beat" Tigranes is to have the high score at the end...

I am friendly with your master, very unlikely USA would declare on Brazil, or me, when I am finally free. To attack me you first need to get free from USA. Which means war with them first. And now when they are in Kerman and Beira they might actually fight you...

Venezuelan civ is no more. Did Knoedel disband his spies too? Otherwise Brazil must of found the last Submarine somewhere in oceans...

Yeah that is the other problem, to go along with the fact that my military is generally sub-par. AI USA may actually cause me problems! I went with the strategy of staying a vassal in this game and its worked out so far, I'm going to keep it going, at least for now. I have a lot of score potential in my civ right now if I can rebuild infrastructure.

Kabul has been captured by the Americans, Afghanistan and Iran east is American controlled, while Iran west is now part of Iraq-North. Iraq-South of course being most of the former Kenyan empire. The last of the Kenyans have finally be destroyed as we hunted down and killed the pesky Kenyan special forces who were killing our workers in Iraq-South.

Ahmedinejad has fled and now hides out in his last home in Dhaka... He is not long for this world as the American military machine marches east.

Obama completed an SDI this month. Here's a random question from that: As USA's vassal, do I get protection under Obama's SDI or no? Not that I have any threats to worry about at this point, but more a curiosity...

Very interesting question, actually. Never tested that.

We are free! Free at last!

:shake: Does nobody ever use Worldbuilder to test things like this?

Nope, not enough time in the day! Not to mention I prefer to spend my free time playing enjoyable games, not working on running worldbuilder just to test random curiosities!

And we have a new leader, Colombia... let's see how long their war with Brazil lasts...

Our relations never went to Friendly back when Brazil was our master. There was some strange negative attitude from the very beginning and Brazilian leader requires higher value of positives to be Friendly (I am sure Obama is friendly towards Maliki, for example). Brazil AI focused on AirForce, they shot a drone last turn, but I am still keeping up with more powerful Mirages and don't use nukes, while inflicting greater causalities. No punitive stack spotted anywhere, AI was not ready for my war of liberation. The only time AI Brazil was ready to declare war on ANYONE was last 5 turns against Libya. I was tempted to stay loyal and capture North Africa, but then I thought -- what if they make peace before I surpass Kazakhstan? So no, liberty is always harder but gives more opportunities to the free human player!

Someone, possibly an AI, is obsessed with blowing my oil well near Mosul. Keeping trying and my workers keep rebuilding it. And now I have multiple sources of oil too, so it's really doing nothing...

This is quite interesting because AI picks random stupid targets. Never persistent attack. Would be interesting to place a defending spy on the plot, and when you catch the spy -- we all could find out nationality.

Oh no! Looks like Fukushima nuclear plant spilled over some radioactive waste and greatly reduced to population of Tokyo!
