The New Spain-USSA Security Treaty
The USSA and Viceroyalty of New Spain agree to mutual armed defense in the event of either nation coming under external attack, as well as to exchange ambassadors to promote the prosperity and security of the wider North American continent. This treaty is to be reviewed and/or revised and renewed every five years, or terminated after one year of either party's declaration of termination.
Signed, President Morris Hillquit
Signed, Viceroy and Political Chief Superior Alfonso Luís de Carvajal y de Nuevo León
And furthermore, the Viceroy would like to clarify the position of the Imperial government as it concerns the legitimacy of the USSA. We recognize the sovereignty of the USSA, and we shall regard any attempt by the other sovereign nations to abrogate this sovereignty as an act of wanton aggression. Clearly the people of that nation have decided to take their fates into their own hands. We hope that other peoples who have suffered at the hands of the Slavers and their New Pharaohs will take a note.
In the meantime, New Spain swears its commitment to guaranteeing the independence of the USSA.
