Gelimont awakes from his slumber again to found the Void replace with seas and lands alike. Gelimont found his ice landscape fill with icy region creature boring and thought that his land could use a touch interesting creatures.

Action 1: Creation of dangerous ice ecosystem.
Gelimont created much more dangerous creature as to create an ecosystem which would test those that venture into his lands. These creatures that will be feared by the inhabitants of this frozen feral lands for the many year to come were the Ice behemoths,Sepenvales, Sea Maws, Shiverghols, Borrowwoams. (these creatures will have a little update explain them after Civ next update)

Action 2: Creation of the Valadesh (Frost Elves)
Gelimont created the Valadesh to have pale white skin with pointing ears. Their hair is just as white as their skin but their have be some that develop silver or grey hair. On their skin there are weird markings on them. (which Gelimont has inscribed on them for some unknown purpose) The Valadesh intelligent for now that of tribal cavemen but till see it worth of sticking in group to avoid be consumed by the many dangerous creatures of their lands. The Valadesh lifespan ranges from 100-250 years give or take if they live to not being eaten. The young are consider adults after the age of 50. Valadesh reproduce sexually with there being malesand females.

ooc: @GM, Just for the sake of brevity, is it so that all the younger gods remain in equilibrium in terms of power? Ergo, is everyone still at the base level of godhood, or if not, have some gods due to the actions of the previous turn increased in relative power?

Furthermore, I know NC is intending on asking (or has already asked you) a similar question, but I think it should be publically answered. But what happens after the age of creation (ergo, are gods limited in the breadth of creative actions they can entertain once the creation epoch is concluded? Will people still be able to create ex nihilo sentient races, or raise land and so forth?). I ask this because it was suggested by another player (Terran Emperor IIRC, might be wrong :p ) on chat that all the gods (presumably next turn) collaborate in creating a race truly free from attachments to any one god (ergo that all the gods act together to create humanity), which I think is a good idea both in gameplay terms and from a narrative perspective. If (as seems certain) the creation epoch ends with this turn, this endeavour may depending on what that end entails be problematically circumscribed.

Everyone is still at the base level of godhood, because godhood tier depends on people believing in you, amongst other things :p

After the age of creation, shaping the earth directly is reserved for the respective gods. Beings can still be created by every god, and indeed I LOVE the sound of the unaffiliated creature :)

Ordo stirred. Something had changed. The perfect, eternal void was in flux as other deities bent their power. At first Ordo was enraged, he reached out from Duch to tear their creation asunder, but then he noticed an instance of perfection and his hand was stayed. He turned his attention to this perfect thing when in an instant it vanished only to be replaced by other perfect things. As he watched these too winked out and were replaced.

As he scrutinised the new creation he noticed twisted mockeries of the perfect beings that had caught his attention. Gingerly he touched one of these imperfect beings and instantly it became an ideal of itself - only to fade an instant later.

Frustrated Ordo withdrew to think for a century then he again reached out, stronger this time to touch a group of beings just so and a before they became their own idealised form. Before they could fade he again reached out and willed that they not fade away, and they did not.

Ordo was content but still frustrated that so much perfection was being lost, he could not preserve all of it. Splintering off shards of his own essence he planted them into the evolving firmament where they grew into beings that would seek out and preserve perfection wherever it may be.

Action 1 - Creation of the Crystal Waves
The Crystal Waves is a large area of ocean where the waves have been divinely shaped into a perfect representation of mathematical concepts and then frozen within crystal. Despite being only a fraction of a centimetre and unattached to solid matter the Crystal Waves are safe for even large creatures to walk on and remain stationary, save for rising and falling with the sea level.

Action 2 - Creation of the Preservers
The Preservers are a semi-sentient crystalline race. Their mandate from Ordo is to seek out the most perfect specimens and preserve them. To aid them in this quest they have the ability to exude crystal from their bodies which will protect and maintain alive that which it envelops. Each Preserver has its own specialty of items to identify and preserve - some focus on fruits, some minerals, some on sentient beings and so on - but when required all are willing to give aid to preserve large objects, many Preservers are required to cover a mountain in crystal.

"When the second age of creation began
Drivalka were tired of seeing the living things.
They were born in the same way that they died,
    The same faces
    The same skin
    The same energy
If they weren't killed before, They just die all of a sudden
There was no warning, no way to know
your life was coming to an end.
So Drivalka, in their infinite goodness made
    a present for all creatures
‘From now on,’ said They, ‘you'll live and die
    knowing your time is coming.
As Baase is evil and merciless,
We are gracious and fair and
this is why we have brought you a gift.’
The three times He was silent for a moment
as they raised his hand illuminating all the lands
When they finished, they spoke these words:
‘To you is given the ability to grow old.’

The years passed until our Lord realized
that the island was nothing more than a bald stone
so he took the plants and trees that the other gods created
and created little animals with fur to live in the forests
Now Varkusia was an island worth
of the progeny of Him who is three times He"

Viramvaak Saldah - "The book of beginning"
    Actions:
-Now the living beings grow old
-Build an ecosystem in the island, with some animals and plants already created and new random ones. Don't take really dangerous creatures, make some kind of Eden.

Action 1: Imbue dragons of all types with at least the minimum intelligence necessary to support civilization, with certain dragons being given higher levels as per the description post last turn.

Action 2: Create Drics which are little tough skinned and sharp beaked birds that fly around in my hurricanes that travel the world, attacking any flesh they can find in the areas hit by the hurricanes. They prefer to travel over the water, and when there are no active hurricanes/their last hurricane breaks up, they typically live on the water until the next one forms.

Aran'shei waited atop the summit of the lodestone of the world beneath the swirling lights that the empty one had brought into being atop the firmament. His mind was calm beneath the dancing lights, and his thought content, for where emptiness had once resided at the heart of the world, now land and water, and life resounded added their chorus to the music of the spheres. Yet as time flowed and the material world continued on its course, he mused that something was amiss. It was to correct this fault that he was waiting, for a great work was near at hand and it required another to come hither to commence.

A portal opened, Heshan, brother of Baase came forth. She appeared in the countenance of a fair maiden and smiled. Aran'shei, standing before her appeared in the countenance of a young man, black of hair and golden eyed for Heshan and inclined his head in return, for Heshan was his daughter formed in the beginning place from his divine essence and granted life by the great mother of the gods, and it had been a thousand years since their last meeting. He spoke.

"Thy brother intends to set loose in the world the spirits of death that wrought by his hand send hither unto us the souls of mortals. Let us begin a great work therefore, for the advent of the mortal races is near and the time is come to separate the world of spirits from the material world, that the souls of the dead and the immaterial spirits may not be intermingled with that which binds them ere their judgement before our throne"

    Heshan replied

"Quite so, let the spiritual be separate from the material not only that the souls of the dead and the immaterial spirits might not be bound not unto the material, but that the winds of magic that heretofore have flown freely amongst the stones and the waters might not in the days of mortals be as they once were when the gods wrought the world. For such power should not so easily be at the fingertips of those who comprehend it not. Thus with the passing of seasons and the cycles of the shining one let the separation of the spirit world and the material world ebb and flow, in the cycles of time from this day until the day the world ends."

Aran'shei bowed his head. And thus their intentions concluded the father of spirits and warden of souls and his daughter, the mistress of magic and lady of seasons attune their voices together and sang a great music that travelled unto the four corners of the world. With their song the world of spirits, which Aran'shei thereafter called the otherworld, separated from the material world, becoming invisible to it and unable to touch it, and yet existing alongside it within the same plane that the elder ones had instructed them to create. Likewise with their music did the winds of magic divide from earth and water and all the other material elements of the world and infuse itself into the fabric of the otherworld, its currents flowing across the land from this day forth in a separate sphere from the sphere of matter, ebbing closest on the days of solstice and equinox when the influence of the shining one, highest of the elder gods was greatest, and ebbing furthest away in the days when his influence was least manifest. From this day only the gods could freely manifest powers of magic of their own power, without tapping into the spiritual flow of the otherworld by means of arts of sorcery.

Heshan bowed to her father, and Aranshei bowed to his daughter when the music ceased, and bidding their good tidings and farewells they travelled unto their own dwelling places in the world, content with the great work that together they had wrought.

So it was that Heshan and Aranshei fashioned the otherworld, an existence alongside the material existence of this plane but separate from it, the shadow to its material form. The otherworld serves as the existence within which mortal souls, and immaterial spirits are manifested and in which souls once separated from their bodies must await the judgement of Aran'shei and in which wandering souls remain ere they defy their fate; as well as the invisible world in which exists the powers of magic flowing across the face of the world (ergo Baase's gate would exist in the otherworld rather than the material world). Its form is not that of a separate plane, but rather its part of the same world existing alongside it but invisible too it, a different layer of the same reality. (ooc: its not like the fade from the dragon age franchise which is effectively its own reality, but more like how the spirit world is in the Lord of the Rings franchise [which Frodo sees when he wears the ring] or the celtic otherworld I'm naming it after)

    Spoiler :
OOC: This is a collaboration I worked out with ThomasBerubeg (aka as Heshan), he'll hopefully when he comes online give a Heshan POV of this exercise, and otherwise acknowledge the collaboration.

And where the song of Aran'shei was the heart of the world, forming with his rhythmic voice and being the firmament of of the otherworld, scribing into existence what had 'til that moment been not, Heshan's melodies drove the song to and fro. From her arpeggios and crescendos, trills and glissandos came the color of the otherworld. Somber here, gleeful there, a reflection of the vibrant hues and tenors of the material world.

Magic, the force which had driven the great acts of creation, flowed around and through the otherworld, a great prismatic river, roiling beneath the surface of the material world, always the distance of a whisper out of reach.

OOC: as jehoshua said, the otherworld is act 1 of my turn.

As for the periodicism, not only is there the yearly cycle jeho mentioned, where equinoxes and solstices make it easier for mortals to dip into magic, there are also great, millennium long tides, where magic slowly retreats from the world, with some centuries where even the most proficient of practitioners can barely light a candle with magic to centuries where even the most dull and unskilled can, I'd not careful, perform great acts of creation, on par with some lesser deities.

There was nothing. A barren, immobile state in which no living creature existed. There was only the Light. This was most disheartening to Amalthus, as life was beautiful while the lack of such was not.

To the North, a race called the Valadesh existed. They had never seen the Light, and Amalthus felt pity for them, for that forevermore they shall live in darkness where life is a constant struggle for survival.

And so, Amalthus crea ted the Amaldeshi - the Valadesh as they were meant to be. Beatiful. Proud.

The Amaldeshi were tall and slender, with long, flowing hair in colours ranging from the darkest black to white gold. But never truly white, for that it was a colour that only the Valadesh held, and they were ugly and imperfect.
Their eyes were dazzling with colours and in colours such as the green of the deep forests or blue as the skies or a burning red colour like the sunset in the east.

Once created, an image was forever grated in their minds - what they were once, and what they became. For that they held eternal gratidue, and they worshipped Amalthus as their Savior and Creator, who saved them from the icy ugliness.

They were also, wild. It will take much time until they become sapient and create a civilization...but one day! One day!

But they needed a place to live. To the northwest, between two landmasses, a perfect place was found. There, Amalthus raised the land where the Amaldeshi live. It was a wonderful place where deep green forests and beautiful coastlines met. Amongst the trees, the Amaldeshi lived.
Deep into the ground, there was plentiful iron ores and black marble.

Action 1 - create the Amaldeshi
Action 2 - raise the new continent called Amaldus.

Xyz awoke to a newly completed world. Usually, he would be very excited to have awoken in such a place, however he found that he was extremely hungry. In Kithith he could simply feat upon the many energies that were there and they would sate his every need. However, Xyz felt like being more creative. With a slash of his razor-blade tail, he made a portal into Kithith above his small island. Out of the plane came bolts of pure chaos that shot into the sand, creating many different kinds of desert plants, with the hardier bushes and cacti further away from the oases and lakes and with the less resilient plants and large palm trees appearing around the oases. They reproduced (like normal plants do I’m a god not a plantologist) and grew at a rate that would allow Xyz to eat them without worrying about them going extinct. They would get their water from the rains and the lakes/oases.

Xyz tried eating these plants to sate his hunger, but he did not like their taste at all. So he thought of another ingenious idea. He retreated to Kithith where he invented his first species.

The Jutttt (Literally “The Unworthy” in the language of Djijget):

Appearance – A mixture between a lizard and a pig. It walks on all fours and is fat like a pig, yet it has scales like a lizard.
Traits – They go around eating the various plants scattered around the desert and drinking the water from the lakes and oases. Also Xyz made breeding extremely pleasurable so they do that a lot as well. Thanks to the plants growing fairly fast, they wouldn’t overrun the island. Also they were extremely tasty to Xyz, meaning that their breeding was hemmed in by Xyz being a predator.
Sapient? – No, they are very stupid. However, over the course of time, some exceptional Jutttt may evolve some small ounce of intelligence.

Xyz brought these new creatures to the world and would indulge in tasting their flesh whenever he grew hungry, which was quite often. Xyz then used the rest of his time travelling throughout the World, bothering the other Gods and investigating rumours of otherworldy denizens that shared his ideal of perfect chaos and the perfection of chaos. And so as the age of creation started to draw to a close, Xyz did nothing more that would effect anything outside of his small corner of the Earth. Perhaps in the next age he will be more active in the affairs of the rest of the world.

Massive sky worms. They fly and burrow in the whirring doomrocks and also the ground. They also have eyes. Laser eyes. They can't see very well, though, because the heat basically melts their corneas. Some of their dirtpoop floats and clumps together to make more doomrocks but the rest of it falls to the ground.

And you know what? Sentient parasites! They develop inside the sky worms and come out in their dirtpoop. They infect plants (including skyplants), and when a plant gets eaten, they infect the animal (or cannibalistic plant) that ate it, and this continues until they wind up in a major food chain player. Then they just kinda chill out in their hosts and either attempt to take them over and use them as mules and such, or be FRIENDS and talk with them in their brains and make their immune system stronger or something. They tend to infect the chillens of their hosts (and since they're already in the worms I don't need to worry about making this cyclical). Basically they're goa'uld but smaller and don't live in water. ORIGINAL CHARACTER, DO NOT STEAL

Update will be going up by friday.
The way it's looking right now, we'll still be in the Age of Creation, because we only have two civilization-building races (which are trees and bloody great lizards because wut).

ooc: Can trees even form civilisation? The lack of dexterous appendages is something of a hindrance one would think to advancing beyond a state of nature, even for sentient flora.

    -

    Action II:

Aran'shei returned unto the western land wrought by his hand, pleased at the great work that he together with his daughter had concluded at the lodestone of the world. For now where once the spirits roams freely and unhindered in material existence, now was the world of spirits and magic divided from the mundane as if by a veil, present alongside material reality and yet forever a hairs breadth out of reach.

Now was the second act of his intent to become manifest. For Aran'shei had long concluded that the land that he had wrought was incomplete, and not yet ready to serve his purposes. Towards rectifying this, Aran'shei called again upon the foundations of the world, and completing the wall of high mountains he had made, which he had called in his mind the mountains of sunset, he proceeded to fashion a great and fertile plain, a green and pleasant land crossed about with wide rivers where might come to abide a great people. From this plain he carved out a lake, and raised an isle in its centre, and this he called the isle of the blessed, for blessed are the souls who would come unto that hallowed place and reside there. Behind this lake, very near unto the wall far end of the world did Aran'shei in turn raise up a lofty mountain, and this he names the Throne of Judgement, for here he placed his empty throne, and here would the tribunal of the afterlife judge the souls of the dead and consign them unto their just fates. Aran'shei then carved a valley in the Mountains of Sunset, that the waters of the Blessed land might find their way to the sea, this was called the Valley of Mist. Finally to conclude his great work he manifested his power and called upon the otherworld, and the otherworld answered. Thus the veil was thinned between the realities of the world in this the Land of Aran'shei, its forests forever would stand at the liminal boundaries between the worlds of magic and the mundane, the world of the living and the world of spirits. Here would the forces of the Otherworld be strongest in this plane.

The work of creating his chosen land complete, Aran'shei then named the whole land Arran, calling the inner land the Land of the Blessed. The outer land between the mountains and the sea he named the Land of Shadows, for it lay under the shadow of the mountains of sunset and in it spirits who feared the stern judge of the dead would tarry as the end of their journey towards the afterlife neared.

    -

summary: Create land as shown in map below, rendering the land within the mountain wall closer to the otherworld than is ordinary in the rest of the world, thus strengthening the forces of magic and the spirits in the land of the Lord of Souls.
