It's a little hard to count atheists, we don't have meeting halls & don't really broadcast our views. When was the last time an atheist knocked on your door at 8 am on a saturday to tell you not to go to church?

    Yeah, you are probably right.

I still think the religion thing needs a reworking., but it's on the right track. Although, maybe when you start the game, you follow an "Ancient religions", because I can tell you that the oldest tribes of man even had some superstition. But then there is the Mysticism tech. It is kinda complex.

I suddenly got a vision of a guy going door to door wearing a lab coat and offering copies of 'Origin of Species'...

Come to think of it, that's not a half bad idea, given the state of science instruction in this country (USofA).

Sorry if I'm mistaken, I don't know much about history: In the early 1900's, under Stalin rule, didn't he suppress Orthodox religion? Thus, for the majority of time, many citizens lost belief, and were labelled athiest. Even still today, there is still a signifigant amount of athiests in Russia.

Though, I could be wrong, am I? :scan:

That's what I was talking about. It would be set up like other state religions. Hell, the No State(Free Religion) shouldn't be set up that way. You should get different choices when you have this as the state religion.
