New Orleans, Sept. 1, 2005 - It's criminal. From what you're hearing, the people trapped in New Orleans are nothing but looters. We're told we should be more "neighborly." But nobody talked about being neighborly until after the people who could afford to leave … left


There are gangs of white vigilantes near here riding around in pickup trucks, all of them armed, and any young Black they see who they figure doesn't belong in their community, they shoot him.


But nobody cares. They're just lawless looters ... dangerous


The hurricane hit at the end of the month, the time when poor people are most vulnerable. Food stamps don't buy enough but for about three weeks of the month, and by the end of the month everyone runs out. Now they have no way to get their food stamps or any money, so they just have to take what they can to survive.


Every day countless volunteers are trying to help, but they're turned back. Almost all the rescue that's been done has been done by volunteers anyway.


here is the real truth, they were watching our in need of help Americans die and suffer because they are afraid of us African Americans and other poor races & it make me mad because these scum just are sitting around while people die and it is sick.


they can't even take care of our affairs here in America, how are they going to help other country's when this place is a hell hole. It made me sick to see Veterans dying and they fault for this country like my dad, & my step brother is now fighting in Iraq & even he called me & said that he feels ashamed & appalled at what he has saw this week from our fake country

You have been so brainwashed that I feel sorry for you. George Bush has spent more on intitlement programs than Clinton ever thought of. Check the numbers if you dont believe it. You scream racism because one unnamed newspapers wording on a caption of a picture. You know that guys already been fired. This picture has gotten so many headlines its unbelievable (were is the rest of the examples if they are so wide spread?). If there were really groups of whites hunting down black youths it would be all over CNN. Ooh maybe its a cover up like the one about the government blowing the levee to hurt blacks.To even be accused of racism in todays culture is as bad as being called a rapist. It's big news that the networks eat up. That racist federal goverment is pledging 200 billion dollars (which by the way if you divide it out between 400,000 people equals 500,000 per person) and the nation is contributing out of pocket millions of dollars (sounds real racist eh?). Lousiana was poor in the 90's when you had a democrate president, gov, senators, mayors, school board and city council. Most of which were black. We've know about the levee problem since the sixties, but oh I forgot its G. Bush's fault he hates you. I mean you were so rich before he took office. He just screwed up everything right? I mean Iraq didn't attack us. Oh but wait neither did Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq 91, or Bosnia. The bottom line is you've got it made in this country, so quick whining and pull yourself up by not blaming everyong else and take responsibility for the situation you are in. Remember "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". I don't blame you for being mad, with role models like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who survive off of claims of racism, how could you feel any different?
