Got the idea from a couple of members signatures and the "OT made me fascist" thread.

What things have changed your mind on OT? And what arguments made it happen?

Maybe former President Bush wasn't necessarily correct with Iraq War 2: The Awesoming.

CFC OT has convinced me that you can't convince anybody of anything. ;)

CFC OT convinced me that Poland is in Eastern Europe, and not Central as I had originally thought.

Also, most Eastern Europeans are crazy.

a) Fifty already made a thread with essentially the same discussion.
b) This whole thread is pretty trolly

edit; xpost

A lot of people are more interested in debating style than the substance of what is debated.

There are jokes that make you look like a wit the first time, a halfwit the 2nd, a quarterwit the 3rd, etc. A lot of OT people do not realize this and continue posting the same joke over and over until it clear that they are witless. :mischief:

- Tom Petty is not a woman (as i previously thought by looking at pics of him)
- Poland should be kicked out of the EU
- Atheists suck just like religious people
- People are afraid of changing themselves on the internet
- The EU needs more muslims
- If you've never experienced communism then there is a higher chance you'll believe their fairytales
- Mise has a nice voice
- People don't like reality
- Stuff from japan needs to be banned from all other countries
- Mormons dont suck

EDIT: might post more laters

+1

and also:

legalize marijuana

some people will resort to anything to justify their positions on certain things, including disregarding a poster's message and twisting it so that it would not be a convincing argument.

Very indirectly from CFC OT: I was in a discussion about communism and capitalism here and ended up exchanging PMs with Integral. He pointed me to an article on applause lights at Overcoming Bias, which later moved to Less Wrong. Following discussion there I ended up at Mencius Moldbug's Unqualified Reservations, wherein I was, if not quite awakened from my dogmatic slumber, at least given the opportunity to grunt "five more minutes" in my nap of conventional wisdom.

That there are still people who don't understand the concept of a meme, or that of dividing by 2.
