you most probably kow already but yesterday im a game i saw
the AI building Privateers, the civ was in a constant state of war and peace throughout the game and i assume he used them though never against me, we where quite m8ty most of the time.

Caught a Rival , but not enemy civ trying to plant spies into my cities, he got caught twice but maybe he got some in.


If you click the unhappy faces in the city screen they tell you the reason why there unhappy, a lot of times they complain about overcrowding what can you do apart from from happy things or starving the city

To make those citizens happier:

Any happiness-related improvements. Temples, Cathedrals, Colosseums, Marketplaces (in conjunction with luxuries).

Happiness-related Wonders. (Sistine Chapel, Bach's, Hanging Gardens...)

Obtain more luxuries.

Build worker units.

Build settler units.

Starve 'em.
