No patches required, no internet required.
You don't even require a Tape Recorder to load the game (grin again).
I gave you this as a small incentive to relax, and wait till Firaxis can get their act together, and give everyone a good game which I am sure the programmers once intended from the very beginning (or until the dollars signs took over).
