Every thing must go fast and nuts (no time to think).
How is it for you?
Do you concentrate on offensive units, defensive units, settlers or what?
Give me a little insight on what to expect (brieffffff)
I might just try it for the heck of it (haven't gone higher than Warlord)

On deity, the computer gets HUGE production and science bonuses. I think most people beat it by pop rushing horsemen and swordsmen on tiny and small to kill off the other civs very early.

My experience is to build a few strategric cities and then pop rush, a temple, barracks and granary and then to start pop rushing horsemen/swordsmen. There is no way to keep up with the AI in science, just extort as much as possible with the peace treaty and then pick on someone else. If you have to, you can create a unit every turn by disbanding caputured workers in one of my production cities. After you have cranked out a decent size empire, turn the money machine on and buy your way back into the tech race. The AI's advantage in science and production seems to peter out towards the latter portion of the game, so my advice would be to try to hold your ground until then.

In brief, as you expected, WAR!:D
I've won a deity game in tiny map by war. I'm now trying to play on standard map with standard amount of enemies(8?). It's much tougher than the old one. And poor Zulu still lies beside me...:)

In all AI cheating levels, you must negate AI's advantage.
Every time you rush build, blackmail, and trade techs, you're negating that.
Of course, some diplomatic tricks are handy. And keeping the AIs fighting each other also help to ruin their bonus.
The AI is more aggressive on harder levels, but never smarter.
Add some scorched earth tactics and voila, you can beat them, but not all the time.
