Why else would administrative agencies have the power to administer their own budgets as they see fit?

Also, there's supposed to be ‘extraordinary’ (supplementary, unscheduled) sessions when important stuff happens.
 
TIL the government of Brazil has no sense of self-awareness.
 
That's symbolic. Creating a bureaucracy to stop bureaucracy, on the other hand, is on another level entirely.

I learned more about the US tax code and why I haven't optimized my taxes. Nothing major though
 
TIL that the forced placement insurance polices offered by the loan servicer I work for explicitly do not cover damage to property deriving from spacecraft or self-propelled missiles but do cover damage due to a meth lab explosion in a vacant property.
That they explicitly spelled out "self-propelled missiles or spacecraft" make me really want to learn what happened that forced them to include that comment.
 
My insurance policy is not covered by outbreak of war or ionising radiation. I really don't want to know if those were prompted by anything. ;)

Years ago, I worked at UCLA. During slow times, I would read the employee manual. One section stated that, in case of nuclear war, we were to stay at our posts until relieved. Yeah...that wasn't going to happen. :hide:
