Time for annexed cities to lose the extra unhappiness?

After you conquer a city, if you choose to annex it, how long does it stay mad at you?

Does it go away in time as your culture becomes more dominant? can it ever be like a city you built yourself?

It won't go away until you build a Courthouse (available with Mathematics), when it goes away forever. Courhouse is quite a large building to build and costs 5 gold per turn to maintain. It will take 8-30 turns to build it, depending on the era. Culture isn't dependant on city ownership anymore, so as soon as you capture a city, its culture becomes yours.

When deciding whether to Annex, Puppet or Raze a captured city, how can you tell if the city/cities has Wonders present or not?

Thanks

still, it's pretty dumb they didn't just include the "let the examine the city first" option ~~ searching for world wonders before capturing a city, yeah right, that's what i'd like to do when playing civ5.

burn every city without a wonder and resettle it, saves time+money. ofc, you'll lose the borders this way, but you can't have everything right x)

I've seen this comment more than a few times on these forums. I understand that civ players like numbers, but it's not that difficult to look at the game world and make certain determinations like figuring out if a city has wonders or if the AI is happy/mad.

You can raze an annexed city, or halt the razing of a burning city, so effectively you can check the city screen. The two things you can't do right now are 1) check the city screen of a puppet without annexing it, or 2) re-puppet an annexed city.

Actually, I guess you can give the annexed city back, then reconquer it. That seems a little mean, though.
