    Thank you; I'd appreciate that.

This whole "upgrade" of InvisionFree (not sure about the InvisionPowerBoard forums which are the pro version of Invision) means the loss of literally tens of thousands of smileys. There weren't that many default ones - less than 20, but over the years there have been so many custom-made ones, or ones that were modified. I belonged to a smiley forum where we were encouraged to think outside the box and come up with original ideas or ideas for making smiley sets.

There's a Doctor Who set that exists because I asked for it to be created, and received permission to install it on my forum and use a couple of the images as "read"/"unread" icons. Spud (remember my old avatar of a sunglasses-wearing potato riding a motorbike?) exists because of a comment I made on the forum one day... "that looks like a potato" and next thing we knew, there were two sets of Spud smileys created (one by himself, and one sitting on a couch), and then someone else created Mrs. Spud and their three little spudlets (who were still growing in the ground).

So my old avatar has quite a history.

So... it is the 17th of November, and the last couple of years the seasonal smileys replaced the generic at this time, no?
We need them :yup: Or at the very latest we need them by the end of November.

C'mon, among the ‘drawbacks’ of Xenforo we could at least include a lack of Christmas smileys.

The time is nigh! There is a deficit of jollity that Xmas smilies would cure.

You could give thanks that it's not Christmas, or, rather, what the 'Muricans sell as Christmas.

It's not just the Americans. It's the same sale and product here in Canada exactly - not even different packaging or brand names...

Time to update and clarify your database and information source. My French is patchy and rusty, but that has never been an impediment to my day-to-day life. I've never eaten a maple leaf, and don't know anyone you does (maple trees don't even grow at all in my part of the country), and I have never heard Christmas said or spelt that way until you just did. Are we talking about the same Canada here? :p

Well, the Unitedstatesians quite consistently tell us that Canada doesn't really exist except for a maple tree and some walruses (plus a house made of ice), so we dirty furreiners must rely on the closest eyewitnesses to the scene.

My new computer has what it calls an English Canadian keyboard that has some of the French letters on it. However, it doesn't include the one needed to spell "Noel" properly (that's the French word for Christmas).

And yeah, we don't eat maple leaves. Maple syrup, sure... when it's available at an affordable price. That stuff's pricey in this end of the country, at least the kind is.

I recently bought some maple fudge on Amazon, since they had it on sale. Of course the trick is going to be staying away from it until Christmas.

I prefer a December 1-31 sort of thing. No need to get rid of the Christmas smileys the day after Christmas.

In light of Trump's presidency, maybe we should not have Christmas Smileys this year to show support for our Muslim brothers and sisters.
