Sorry about that. I find it confusing as well. BUT the problem is, we are going to put a city there, edventually, but which dot?

Playing now.

I decided to change the rules up a bit. We get 15 turn turnsets and we only have to give away techs/revolt every 15 turns. I hope nobody mind's that.

I load the save to find everything in order. I press enter.

Turn 1: I put our exploring warrior to heal. It has low hp.
Turn 2: Nothing
Turn 3: Nothing
Turn 4: nothing
Turn 5: Worker complete, Set build to Warrior (2)
Turn 6: Nothing
Turn 7: Warrior Complete, Start Settler.
Turn 8: nothing
Turn 9: nothing
Turn 10: Nothing.
Turn 11: nothing
Turn 12: nothing
Turn 13: Agriculture done. Set research to Hunting for archery and skirmishers.
Turn 14: Our exploring warrior dies to a bear. Funny thing is, that bear was on a desert tile. Desert Bears. Heh. Pretty angry about it cause i was in a forested hill when it got attacked.
Turn 15: Nothing.

Boring turnset. No pictures really needed. We made almost no progress at all, maybe because we're in epic speed? But anyway, next player should get settler and settle our second city.

An? Skipped you? But you played first! :crazyeye:
I understood what you ment hehe.

I think second city goes red dot because of river and less jungle + corn. Stronger city early IMHO.
Ah, I can't play right now. Has to be later today!
My girlfriend is in the good computer, which happens to be hers, at the moment. I can play later though!

OK, I finished my turnset:

Turn 5: Finished Hunting(??), started IW for all those jungles!

Turn 10:
Finished the warrior I decided to train before the settler. I would hate to lose our first settler you know...

Turn 12: Settler is finished and sent to the red dot! The warrior is already scouting in front, but it all is timed for safety... I guess!

Judaism found...

Turn 13: Guess who found Judaism?

That will be an interesting game! :D

Turn 14: We got a random event!

Cover to all our melee units! But I guess it was only for the existent units!
Well, good I decided to build that warrior!
Actually, not wanting to be arrogant, that was a very good decision:

Turn 15: And that is it. Our settler can build our next city next turn, and the warrior arrives together with him on the spot also next turn!
I started a workboat that finishes in 8 turns. Our workers are, right now, building a road from our capitol to the second city, but they are still in the cultural border, and I am not sure of the idea of this road, but I had nothing else to do... Hum, now thinking about it, I could have sent the workers together with the settler and, and... Ah well! :mischief:
And not sure if I had to, because we only have slavery + starting civics, but I changed civic to slavery. We are spiritual anyway...

Save attached! We didn't explore anything this turn by the way.

The crippled, ragged sage came from behind the man in regal robes. The royal figure was bent over an ancient text. Turning, the dark king grimaced in frustration. He indicated a stool for the old man.

At length the sage sat.

“What do you seek, Lord Mansa Musa, ruler of Great Mali?”

“Knowledge. Enlightenment. Peace. Prosperity. Everything!” he muttered, looking doubtfully at the venerable scholar.

The sage nodded and smiled. “You seek nourishment.”

“Do I look underfed?”

“You seek spiritual nourishment, Lord. It is the foundation upon which all great things are built.”

Mansa Musa pondered this. “Go on.”

“I can teach you of the Way to such nourishment.”

“The Way of Enlightenment?”

“No,” he paused, looking directly into the king’s eyes. “The Way of the Pizza.”

The Lord of Mali was speechless. The sage continued.

“We are each of us, all of us, but toppings on the Great Pizza. In this world, there are many people, and many ways of pondering the Almighty. Each faith, each tenet, is one of the Seven Slices of the Great Pizza.

“To know the Way, then, you must nourish yourself from each Slice. You must bring all nations to you to add their toppings. You must bake a mighty pizza, the Great Pizza, here in this, your Pizzeria. Then you can truly eat of enlightenment. Only then will your nourishment be complete.”

The king clapped his hands violently. “Servants! Clothe this man and establish him in my Palace!”

"Clams! We need clams for the Great Pizza!" Mansa Musa yelled, exhorting his Minister of Fishing.

Turn 61: Settled Djenne at agreed spot. Worker 1 started chopping grassland forest to speed up workboat. Worker 2 building road to Djenne, eventually to hook up gems and other resources there. Started building scout in Djenne to uncover map.

Turn 66: Workboat finishes from chopping, put overflow into another workboat. Worker 1 moves to chop more wood. Timbuktu is working the clam tile to grow – it’s still size 1.

Turn 72: 2nd workboat finishes in Timbuktu, scout finishes in Djenne. Started building second scout. Road to Djenne nearly complete. Starting on building/chopping 3rd workboat in capital – when finished, we’ll have three 4 food / 3 commerce tiles for great growth, whipping, and commerce!

Turn 75: found Isabella’s lands to our west.

I'm no pro -- I just like to make the most of what we have. In this case, we're financial and have three seafood resources that were begging to be hooked up.

PS: Expect a lot of :smoke: moves form me! But I will try to make them as funny as possible, OK?

Sure, and I excused myself...

I'm so used to start mining-BW, that I must have gotten flashed by the prospect of starting BW on 0 turn ;)

Anyway, very nice turnset slobberinbear!

:goodjob:

No, all units now and later.

Oh and Hunting was for a new scout. :/

Nice turnsets to both of you guys.

Roster:

1. Thelastone36 (on deck)
2. pawelo
3. Civman123
4. Arlborn
5. azaris (up -- I leapfrogged him per his request)
6. Slobberinbear (just played)

Situation: HOOK UP THAT SEAFOOD!!!! We NEED FISH PIZZA!!!! :D  :p

if possible i'd like to get a third city in the next turnset. Third city will be Blue i guess. Try to get as much land to the north and west as possible.

as Fourth city how about Light Green? Try to get some land from Pacal.

Fifth might be planning to far ahead, but i think Dark Green would be a nice one for this.

Planned Wars: None at moment. Maybe pile up on the future likely religious war.

I agree with third city in blue dot, although iron might show up somewhere that makes us change plans! Also horses?
