ToT have scenario, we can create easily scenarios, we don't have to wait 10 min for IA turn, new scenarios still comes

Civ3 have no scenarios, Civ3 can't create scenario so today Civ3 have no future...

IF TOMORROW, FIRAXIS GIVE TO CIV3 A SCENARIO ADDON AND AN EASY SCENARIO EDITOR, THEN Civ3 will be the best, but yet it's not !

I agree with you Eyn. There is an impressive amount of scenarios out there for Civ2. There is a noticeable increase in ToT scenarios as well which is very pleasing.

Civ3 on the other hand is probably still too new to have anyone make a scenario. Not knowing too much about the editor that comes with the game I still would say that maybe it's possible to make scenarios. We probably haven't figured it out yet. At any rate I wouldn't be surprised if Firaxis releases a Civ3 "Gold" which will have MP and be more conducive to making scenarios. Let's just hope that Firaxis's perception of the publics interest in Civ3 warrants another version of Civ3. I sincerely have my doubts though. Maybe Civ3 was just a fluke, a blip on the gaming radar, that will quietly dissapear and never be heard from again.

If you like another game better, play it. Ordering Firaxis around on a message board doesn't make expansions magically appear, even if you type really big. People have tried.

You could try ordering Firaxis employees around by name. It gives your exercize in futility that personal touch.

BTW, Civ 2 didn't originally ship with all the extras people like to demand. Nor does lack of scenarios = no future. Scenarios might bring a longer shelf life for some players, true.

Despite the difficulty in crafting scenarios for Civ III there are a bunch of us who are doing just that. Check out the Creation & Customization forum for some very excellent mods/scenarios.

Hehe. Enjoying your trip to Mingapulco? Wait, is CIvfanatics Mingapulco?

I have a strong suspicion that I know your handle over at Poly, eyr. Since I prefer CivFans anyway and given the strong whiner faction at Poly, Mingapulco is a real vacation.

Poly is just plain boring, except for the occasional flame war. I think I might try to get banned from there at some point, just for fun. Maybe next time Encomium posts.;)

He rarely rises to the bait, if ever... I still remember the time he called me a punk though. I think he thinks I'm 17.

He really doesn't even seem to post much anymore. Maybe he finally realized he wasn't accomplishing anything. Maybe he changed his handle to "Anti-Spectator", since someone;) logged in as 'Anti-Encomium' once.

I see your point regarding the history of Civ2 and scenarios. My statement was that I hope that the same will happen to Civ3, I just feel a little pessimistic that's all. I actually do enjoy Civ3 on occasion and I will not remove it from my hard drive. I like a lot of games and play them all. A game really has to be bad for me not to like it. Take "Reach for the Stars 2" for example.....

seems i've clic on "New Thread" instead of "Post reply"
