Tom's Spell Guild

Welcome, here you will find my Spell conversions / creations. The doors are finally open, and I will begin adding units here over time. How you decide to use them in game is up to you... If you wish to use them in a way and the appropriate graphic needs to be altered for it to work, just ask and I can see what I can do.

Any constructive criticisms, comments, or suggestions on how an existing unit conversion can be improved is more than welcome.

Important Notes!
All units come with Large/Small/Unit32 PCX files, as well as Sound Files (unless otherwise noted).

I make it clear to everyone that I DO NOT MAKE THESE, I DO NOT CREATE THEM, NOR ANIMATE THEM, they are conversions.

Contains 2 seperate Unit folders, one for the Large version, one for a smaller version. Until more units are posted, this may not be completely usable by itself.

To the contrary, my first thought was to use it as a meteor to add to the other "nature" units around.

Agreed, I thought it was a meteorite myself at first glance.

I suppose it could be used for a meterorite/doomsday rock just as it is. Stick an explosion as the victory animation, and it could be used as such for either cruise missile or what not just fine.

This is a great unit to use as a Default Animation for almost any spell. Contains 2 FLC's, with different shadow shades (1 light, 1 darker)

From Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 4. There are probably around 90 or so more to post still. I have not put them in the database because it just isn't worth it to do a seperate entry for every single spell unit. I will later just upload a mass pack or something.

I have found many others also that I will eventually do.

Looking at these has instigated a mischievous thought in my pointy little head: You've been experimenting with Charm. Have you tried creating a "Charm" or (more likely) "Charms" folder in the Art/Animations folder to see if a unit with Charm will use a Charm animation? Seems to me that if a programmer went to the trouble of creating a charm ability, they might have snuck in a command to look for a folder named "Charms" as well....

To make it more complicated, it might not be looking for a file named Charms at all; after all, the ability is called Bombard and the animation folder is found in a folder in the PTW Art/Animation folder called "Trajectory" (well it looks like Bombard animations).

Anyway, these animations are excellent, Tom. You've been keeping me quite busy lately!
