found this on the web ... never heard of a Tongjeon before.
Judging from the footage it's a Hwacha that fires bullets instead of spears/arrows.

Is that a real historic weapon or just a modern day experiment?

For comparison, the Korean Hwacha, which also appears in Civilization V as a unique unit for the Koreans, replacing the Trebuchet.

That's not a bad idea for a weapon. I wonder why nobody in Eurasia really developed on the idea of a 'Tongjeon'.

Things that shoot multiple bullets were created in the past in different places, they were even occasionally used, but I don't think anyone back then could figure out a practical model.

That's the problem. Even the gatling gun was pretty inaccurate, but it made up for it with its rate-of-fire. Nothing prior to the gatling had that sort of speed, and the accuracy problems always existed.

Actually, there were things like this in Europe like the ribauldequin or organ gun.

Ah, that's what they're called - I forgot. Well, in Europe, at least.

I know for a definite fact that similar guns were made in China (and possibly Korea), but I don't know what they're called there.

You either mean the Tongjeon (if that thing is indeed real ... but after seeing the ribauldequin I don't see why not) or the Hwacha, which is likely the first of it's kind.
