Top 5 Worst Actors

Anybody afraid to criticize the acting performance of actresses only because they look more beautiful to the eye than bad playing male actors?

exactly the point I was trying to make about M Dillon...! thank you!

(disclaimer: Penelope Cruz is still a good actress, it's not just the looks)

out. Shout it across the rooftops! Who cares that you do not grasp the concept of a top 5? You posted and provided no background whatsoever, that' s got to be enough for the series of tubes that is the internet, right?

Go, I say! Go!

...but what about people always playing the same stereotypes like Buscemi, Coline Farrell, Michael Duncan, Randy Quaid?

Or Joe Pesci? I don't think they're good actors but neither are they bottom five caliber.

I had Jennifer Garner on my list. The Kingdom is good example of her skills.

Jerry Seinfield, and pretty much every single Stand Up comedian turned Actor

Oh and as for The Rock(Dwayne Johnson) isn't in the bottom 5. He's better then 3/4 of the people on SNL. SNL is a never ending source of crappy actors

What about felmale actrecesses? Liv Tyler whith her Armageddon and LotR performance? Demi Moore!? Denise Richards? Natasha Henstridge !!!!!!!

Well the OP said "actors," so I naturally assumed he was referring to the male performer, with the female being an "actress."

If you want to include actresses, then I say give pretty much all of them the boot, save for Elizabeth Taylor, Ingrid Bergman and the two Hepburns.

#2. Jim Varney (Ernest P. Worrell)

WTH! I was going to be a bystander in this thread, but this is outrageous. Considering that the movies were meant for kids, he had a lot of subtle humour that was actually well delivered. I loved all of his allusions to movies, television, and culture as he would cycle through his impressions!

Congratulations, thanks to you I am in the mood to trip a random stranger on my way to school! Some poor shmuck is going to hurt his knee because of your uninformed slander.

Reeves, Affleck, Seagal, Baldwins I´m okay with, but what about people always playing the same stereotypes like Buscemi, Coline Farrell, Michael Duncan, Randy Quaid?

What is wrong with being a specialist? As long as you are good at it. Buscemi is good, and Randy Quaid is exempt from the list for his masterful portrayal of Cousin Eddy.

off the top of my head:

Dolph Lundgren :ack:
Vince Vaughn

cue the lifeless acting jokes :cringe:

I don't dislike Matt Dillion because he is overrated, I dislike him because I think he is a bad actor. I watch him in nearly every movie and his performance is equally bad in all of them...in my opinion. Perhaps he does something or posesses some character trait I find repulsive...but I just don't like him in movies.

To be honest, I'm basing my opinion of Penelope Cruz purely on her L'Oréal ads (cause I don't watch movies).

They really shouldn't have allowed her to speak. Although they did take most of her voice parts off in the remake of the advert, which was good.

I don't know, it might be equally non-objective on my part because I really, really like Beautiful Girls and he also reminds me of my brother, so I might get a bit over-protective there. Fair enough.

well that would make her bad model then from your pov, doesn't it? She has done some bad movies, Spanish and English ones, no doubt about it. But she did an excellent performance in at least 5 movies, imho. ( Jamón Jamón, Abre los ojos (later remade into Vanilla Skies, also decent there), Volver, Todo es mentira, If Only, Belle Epoque, can't seem to think of more US movies... that's what happens when you get typecast as the latin girl I guess)

but again, I am in no way impartial when it comes to Penelope -.-

Matt Dillon? Rumblefish makes him safe. Most actors never do anything as good. Not to mention Drugstore Cowboy.

As for Goldblum, well to copy and paste wiki - The Fly and The Tall Guy. Goldblum's strong supporting roles include those in Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), The Big Chill (1983), Into the Night (1985), Earth Girls Are Easy (1988), Jurassic Park (1993), Independence Day (1996). Not Gielgud perhaps, but not one of the worst actors ever.

Aside from Segal (great emotion chart above btw) I always end up thinking of Stallone. His cry of "Adrienne!" is something of an icon for bad acting.

That's where I stopped reading.
With a body like this, who cares?

In retrospect, I should have found a more recent picture.
