Okay, i've gone through the threads, I got the indeo5 video drivers, i got the lowCPU usage patch (after updating to 1.1 of coursE), i'm running TOT in winxp. But every time i get to the "Hammurabi, you have risen to be the leader of the babylonians" or whathaveyou, i press "okay" and it lolads the world map
after the world map displays momentarily, the hard drive goes nuts, and then it crashes.
the error message is this
AppName: civ2.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: civ2.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0000d1a7
in "technical information' it says a lot of hex code, but at the top is the header information containing 30 someodd modules that are involved..
anyhow.. has anone had a similar error to this?
do I need MORE downloads to solve the TOT problem? indeo5 + no cd + lowcpu not ENOUGH?
do i need some EXTRA thing?
i've tried running it in win95 and win98/me compatibility mode.. no avail..
