TOT Hotseat problem

Hi, when I play Hot seat games against a friend and computer opponents, neither my friend or I can see the computers moves, which often results in us being attacked and not even knowing until we find units missing or wounded.
I have installed the 1.3 official patch.
Is there anything that can be done to stop this.
We have both selected "show enemy moves"

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. It is the major drawback to hot-seat games.

also if you talk to the other human player's civilization you can demand a tribute and get gold from them or doing something they dont agree to.
