Which do you prefer? Test of Time, or Civ2Gold. The interface is almost exactly the same to me. I play Civ2Gold a lot MP, but haven't tried ToT, so just wondering if I should invest the time into it or not.
Well, having played CivII:MGE for many many years, I started using ToT about a month back. I prefer it to MGE now, there's only a few things I don't like about it. First of all was the city & map display, but I quickly found out that this could be changed back to how it used to be. The other was that the council is seemingly absent, so no more NAY SIRE! The defence of our city something something, BUILD CITY WALLS!!
The improved graphics are nice, units face the direction they're going rather than being permenantly the same direction. The units are also animated ^^
If you want to see what it looks like, here is a screenshot of a large amount of barbarians foolishly approaching my cities
90% of my time on CivII:ToT has been spent on Multiplayer Network games, as far as I can tell it is identical to CivII:MGE in trading/treaties etc. No complaints there
