Right, got it. Just double-checked, you're half-right. There are points for where you finish in the stage, however, you also get points for each of the sprints during route. Therefore, Beneteau grabbed 16 points today (2 sprint wins plus 1 sprint 2nd) despite not finishing in the top 20.

EDIT: Brilliant move by Hincapie to take the Yellow today. Shame about Thor, hopefully he'll be ok (especially since he's on my team!)

Results at the end of Stage 1:

According to my calcs, here's how things stand:

    Team ChrTh = 14
    Team Surtur = 3
    Team Dell = 1
    Team Mojo = 1

... and Team ChrTh will get 3 additional pts tomorrow when Hincapie wears the Yellow jersey.

However Hushovd has taken an injury (reported as a "crash" but now it's said it an accident that resulted in a bad cut on his arm.) Could hurt his results as the race progresses.

I've been offline all weekend, so only saw this now. If nobody objects, I'll put a team in anyway. I wouldn't have taken Wegmann or Hincapie, so I won't take them now, even if they might spend the next few days in jerseys. I'll post team as soon as I work it out. (i.e. before tonight's stage starts)

Yes, but in the prologue there are no intermediate sprints. Btw, those intermediate sprints also give a bonus in seconds.

185 - IGLINSKIY Maxim (KAZ) MRM - You left him off the team list, so I will assume he is only 5 points
    Robbie McEwen DVL 57
    Cadel Evans DVL 27
    Michael Rasmussen RAB 30
    Michael Rogers TMO 35
    Stefano Garzelli LIQ 15
    Christophe Moreau AG2 20
    José Azevedo DSC 5
    José Luis Rubiera DSC 5

    That's 199.

Yep and yep. That's what I meant (way back on the first page) when I thought no points had been awarded during the prologue, because there was no intermediate sprints. I think we're all clear now

Too bad for Kessler today, I thought he had it. Thor gets the Yellow Jersey back despite the injury. Team ChrTh is looking to keep the Yellow Jersey for the entire race ;)

I'd feel better about the late entry if you hadn't taken Robbie McEwen on a day where he raced so well... But you're Australian so I can't fault you taking your man.

What's the concensus from the other participants? Let join post-Stage 2?

Updated teams. I've included sanabas, although I'm still wating to hear back from Surtur on whether or not he's okay with the late entry. I hope so, because everyone else is...

I've highlighted all those who have scored points (or will tomorrow by wearing a jersey.)

Here are the standings after stage 3:

    And the points:
    Team ChrTh = 20
    Team sanabas = 13
    Team Surtur = 10
Team Dell = 5 (+ 5 tomorrow when Boonen wears Yellow and Green, so actually 10)
    Team Mojo = 1 :ack:

...and with my ace-in-hole Valverde out with a broken collar bone, I'm pretty much totally hosed! :yeah:

Other jerseys will still be McEwen, Pineau & Fothen. McEwen stuffed up the sprint today though. Either he was too knackered to go when he was second wheel, or Steegman led him out too early. Looks like he's lost his chance of wearing yellow now, he could have had two days in it with a better sprint.
