Very often when a deal involving the AI paying gpt for some luxury/resource reaches its last turn, two weird things may happen
1. As soon as the deal is "in the air" after its last turn expires (no turns attached to the agreement) and before the AI has time to reject it itself, I can click on the deal, instantly getting the message "they would never accept this deal", which (after checking it out) turns out to be a result of the AI lacking the necessary funds (not because he considers the deal unfair). This is a bit weird, because during his last turn, the AI WAS paying those gp. This can either be
a. the AI was running a negative income campaign losing units before the deal expired
b. the game is programmed to immediately re-calculate and re-adjust cities/sliders etc the moment the player clicks on the active deal, bringing it back to the negotiation table. If that is the case, it is in fact GOOD programming I think.
2. Even more weird is what occasionaly happens when the player does NOT click on the active (but expired) deal. Sometimes the AI will pop-up, informing me that he does not wish to keep the deal running and if I try to offer it again, I get the same message " would never accept" message. Technicaly, it is the same as case 1. But sometimes, the AI will enter a situation where he does NOT terminate the agreement and keeps it running for tens or hundreds of rounds, but will reject it if the player clicks on it. This is very weird and frustrating because it encourages the player to reload/cheat in order to find out if the AI is willing to pay more, less or not at all for the same luxury. What is going on?

I like 2. They will trade forever as equals on the original terms, but if I get greedy and renegotiate they may sulk and refuse to trade unless it is renegotiated in their favour. Keeps the human honest.
