so early expansion by trading out luxuries is not possible anymore. how shall we adapt to this change? i feel this hurts early game so much especially on higher levels when AIs can spam the whole continent with their settlers
Right. That's what I thought. I don't see a huge amount of early game difference since very early on the AI doesn't have big stacks of gold to trade anyway. You can still trade luxuries for GPT which gives the same value.
Is there some quick rubric somewhere for how much people are willing to trade for a luxury? I know it was 240/360/720 in G&K for standard/epic/marathon. Do we know what the GPT are for luxuries now (assuming no diplomatic penalties)?

each piece of luxury used worth 240 lump sum, now they're paying 6GPT only
AI on up to emperor king level do not stack gold but the story is different on immortal.
