Can someone explain how this will work? From the videos I have watched, it seems like the new version of City-States will be your main partners, but did I also see that space/satelites are involved? Also, is this like (civ2???) where you have a physical trade route connected over the map that can be broken?

Trade routes appear to work the same way they did in Civ V. Satellites are not involved.

Also it seems like routes are per city rather than per empire.
