The Coalition.

I am Shattered, Enlightened One of the Philosophers,I have been tasked with forming a basis on which we may spread our Knowledge wide and far. I have worked tirelessly with my brothers on an idea to unite our tribe and seek a brighter tommorow. I ventured to the Church Of Giruvegan, seeking consul. I came across two important people, an Atlantean leader, and a Warlord ambassador. Inviting both the Atlantian leader, and the Warlord ambassador into our hall, we have negotiated a way of governance acceptable to all our interests. We shall unite under one flag, bringing our different Ways of living together, to lead our tribe across the plains, and to a better existance.
We have accepted an alliance with both the Warlords, and the Atlanteans. The provisions of the alliance are as follows.

We have granted the Atlanteans the right to control all religious aspects of our government. They have the right to spread religion and faith throughout the lands. They will also recieve a city to govern.

We have granted the Warlords the right to control our offensive military armies.They will also be granted the right to control exploratory forces. The warlords will be given their own city to govern.

We have chosen Alexander to lead us through the ages. His aggressiveness shall aid us in times of glory, and his logic shall carry us to the highest echelons of power.

Philosophers of the Legion Platform

Fellow citizens, never in the history of democracy games has there being a faction like The Philosophers of Legion. We are a well rounded faction that will appeal to many. We will succeed, because not only do we represent the wants of our faction, but the wants and needs of our nation. We welcome the opinions and concerns of all. From blood thirsty mercenaries to the most high priest, everyone will have their moment, their time. We plan frequent polls and threads to discuss national interests.

Our main goals as the prime faction is to establish a well placed capital that well be developed to help start at least one or two more cities in our term. We plan on at least having one scout exploring our surroundings. We also want found a religion that we can rename and appropriate to the Church of Giruvegan. We want to build an army big enough to fulfill simple enough functions such as escorting settlers or guarding cities and workers as well as provide for a common defense. Everything we do, we do to provide a good, solid foundation for our civilization.

Faction Government
The head of our faction is the Enlightened One. Currently that is our creator Shattered. He makes all the final calls, and delegates tasks and decisions among our faction. He also decides what wonders we build. Under him we have several departments we call Ways. Each Way is lead by a leader appointed by the Enlightened One.

The Way of the People: Led by Ballazic. The Follower of the Way of the People controls capital city production, workers, city placement, and tile usage.

The Way of the Pure Order: Led by Rex. The Follower of the Way of Pure Order determines our faction laws and our national laws when we are in power.

The Way of the Fist: Led by Warlord Faction. The Follower of the Way of the Fist controls offensive military operations (not foreign policy) and exploration. The Follower is also in charge of a city intended for military production.

The Way of the Shield: Led by Churchill. The Follower of the Way of the Shield is in charge of our military defense, such as defense of our cities and non-military units (workers, great people, settlers, etc.).

The Way of the Zodiark: Led by Church of Giruvegan: The Follower of the Way of the Zodiark is in charge of the religious aspects of our nation. This Follower controls missionaries, and Great Prophets. This Way also controls cultural and religious expansion .

Way of the Spoken Word: Led by Blastoid. The Follower of the Way of the Spoken Word is in charge of foreign diplomacy and espionage. This includes deals and trades with foreign entities. This Follower is also in charge of inter-faction diplomacy.

Turn Play
We plan on having at least 10 turns done a week. We want to play at least 50 turns during the first term.

We as a faction want our nation to be the most glorious. Only together can we do that. Let us unite. Let us succeed.

The Chamber of the Triad

The Triad will consist of NZL, Strider, and Shattered, the leaders of the coalition factions. They shall be in charge of all intra-faction affairs. Other powers of this group are still in debate and will be posted shortly.

Proposed Land Law

Giruvegan Land Law

Philosophers of Legion Faction:

Philosophers of Legion has the ownership of all land surrounding the capital,
and the Enlightened One, Shattered, would own the capital itself. Each of the other
members of the Legion Faction (16 members) will be given one tile each in the area surrounding
the capital.

Atlantis Faction:

The Atlantis Faction will have the right of control over the Religious City, the right to appoint their governor by
local election/appointment and the right to distribute land freely within the city limits (Religious city + 16
surrounding tiles. The location of that city will be decided by the Atlantis Faction.


Warlords Faction:

The Warlords Faction will have the right of control over the Soldiers City, the right to appoint their governor by
local election/appointment and the right to distribute land freely within the city limits (Soldiers City + 16
surrounding tiles. The location of that city will be decided by the Warlords Faction.


Other Factions and Independents:

Independents first, and secondarily members of other factions can apply for land grants outside the three cities
territorial limits (city + 16 tileS) planned by the Enlightened one.
However, should a fourth faction pledge allegiance to the Church of Giruvegan,
approved by the Zodiak of Giruvegan and the Grand Mystic of Atlantis (Strider), the Enlightened One (Shattered)
and the Warlord (NZL), they would be given the fourth city with negotiated provisions.



All Lands (tiles) would then be given a name by their first owner.
The names are not written in stone but cannot be changed unless ownership changes.
This means a landowner has to live with the decision he makes.
Any player that owns a territory will be given a title respective to the era.
An ancient citizen cannot hold the title of Duke, etc..
The faction leader or representative, whatever the case may be, will appoint all territorial titles within
the specified city and its territories.

Once a new city is founded the Faction Leader ruling the city will appoint
a governor to the new Province. The new city is named by the Faction Leader or whomever they appoint to name it.
The Governor will gain the new cities tile and be given a Provincial title by the Faction Leader.
The territories of the new city are then distributed by the Provincial Governor.
Titles for these territories are appointed by the governor. Governors have no say in in-game decisions of the city.

Breakdown:
Capital City-

• Is owned by the Prime-Factions leader.
• Is named by the Prime-Faction.
• Its territories are distributed by the Prime-faction leader.
• Its Territorial titles are appointed by the Prime-Faction leader.
• Grants its owner the Supreme Title

City-

• Is owned by its Governor, who is appointed by the Prime-Faction Leader.
• Is named by the Prime-faction or whomever they appoint to name it.
• Its territories are distributed by the Governor.
• Its Territorial titles are appointed by the Governor.
• Grants its owner (1) Provincial title.

Territory w/ Resource-

• Gives owner the ability to start a trading guild.
• Grants its owner (1) Territorial title.
• If the territory is outside of any cities usable tile radius the Prime-Faction leader will distribute it.

Territory-

• Grants its owner (1) Territorial title.

Titles-
Territorial- Titles given to Citizens when they are granted a territory.

Provincial- Titles are only given to Governors.

Supreme- Title reserved for the leader of the Prime-Faction.

A few rules:

• The Prime-Faction leader and governors may distribute (1) territory to themselves per week.
• You must be a citizen of the Dgame to own land but you do not have to belong to a faction.
• There are no limits to the number of territories a Citizen may own.
• The tiles outside of a cities usable territories hold no value and cannot be distributed unless they contain a resource.
• No Faction or its leader are bound to distribute territories. If they so choose they can strip all ownership for their factions stay in power.
• A citizen can not be given more than (1) territory per week.
• Water tiles cannot be distributed unless they contain a resource.

  This is our platform, as well as our claim to run in the election. The factions underneath Philosopher rule will post their own platforms on their powers. Sorry about this taking so long. It took alot of organization to get this all prepared. Glory to the Philosophers!

I, NZL, Leader of the Warlord faction accept to be the Grand Marshall of the offensive branch of the Enlightened Army and Governor of the City of the Fist.
We will clear the path of all enemies and expand our empire so our fellow Triad Members can spread our Wisdom and Religion throughout the known world without being exposed to any risks.

As Leader of the Warlords Faction and Future Governor of the [to be named if elected] Military City, I will depend on our scouts to find a suitable, production oriented city with hills, forest and farms to uphold population and squeeze out an engineer or two later on. Military always costs more than it earns, so will it be in this DGame and we will not build any cottages. If we found the 2nd city, we will produce a barracks first to deliver quality units from the start. If we found the 3rd city, some preliminary 'safety' units will be built prior to barracks. One worker will be produced as well, unless we receive one from another city. Happiness and Health will be kept in check to let our city grow Later on, we will shift our city's building priority between military output and espionage output, favouring military.
We will most likely not build wonders in the military city during the first term, unless we agree within the Triad chambers.
We will urge our Triad Friends to connect our city to Bronze and later on Iron to give us the needed resources for early military domination.
