The poll question is pretty subjective, but I'd say no, the ends generally don't justify the means.
 
Though I did go with my gut and say false, it really does depend on the situation (as Jollyroger pointed out).

The end inherently justifies the means. Only not always. Does the end of getting a beer justify the means of getting up and walking to the fridge? Of course. You don't get an end without a means.

It's only when either the ends or the means are wrong in isolation that they are not justified.
