But Hillarys emails
Whatever happened to Republicans whom are for Law enforcement, For our intelligence agencies and backing our serviceman ? Iam wondering with this pre-dawn raid that the FBI are closing in on something criminally shady past of Manaford as well as Trumps call to fire the acting FBI director. I bet they get at a minimal tax evasion charges on Manford who knows what else the FBI will find.

Trump called for acting FBI director’s firing hours after FBI agents raided Paul Manafort’s home

On Wednesday, the Washington Post broke news that “FBI agents raided the Alexandria home of President Trump’s former campaign chairman late last month, using a search warrant to seize documents and other materials, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.”

The New York Times confirmed the report, adding that the agents were looking for “tax documents and foreign banking records” when they conducted a pre-dawn raid on the morning of July 26. The news was also confirmed by a spokesman for Manafort.

Why didn't A.G. Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation but got….

I seriously doubt the dude would keep stuff around to incriminate him
Never underestimate how fantastically dumb Trump associates can be.

I seriously doubt the dude would keep stuff around to incriminate him
Traitors (such as Jonathan Pollard) have a habit of keeping incriminating documents at their house or stuffing them in a suitcase and having a naval officer store them.

Clearly Mueller thought something useful was at Manafort's house.

Follow the money
Given the timing of this leak to the press, Iam betting that this is directly linked with the raid on Manafort, looks like Russian money laundering operation to provide money to Trump amoungst other things

Secret Ledger in Ukraine Lists Cash for Donald Trump’s Campaign Chief

KIEV, Ukraine — On a leafy side street off Independence Square in Kiev is an office used for years by Donald J. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, when he consulted for Ukraine’s ruling political party. His furniture and personal items were still there as recently as May.

And Mr. Manafort’s presence remains elsewhere here in the capital, where government investigators examining secret records have found his name, as well as companies he sought business with, as they try to untangle a corrupt network they say was used to loot Ukrainian assets and influence elections during the administration of Mr. Manafort’s main client, former President Viktor F. Yanukovych.

Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials.

In addition, criminal prosecutors are investigating a group of offshore shell companies that helped members of Mr. Yanukovych’s inner circle finance their lavish lifestyles, including a palatial presidential residence with a private zoo, golf course and tennis court. Among the hundreds of murky transactions these companies engaged in was an $18 million deal to sell Ukrainian cable television assets to a partnership put together by Mr. Manafort and a Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, a close ally of President Vladimir V. Putin.

In a recent interview, Serhiy V. Gorbatyuk, Ukraine’s special prosecutor for high-level corruption cases, pointed to an open file on his desk containing paperwork for one of the shell companies, Milltown Corporate Services Ltd., which played a central role in the state’s purchase of two oil derricks for $785 million, or about double what they were said to be worth.

“This,” he said, “was an offshore used often by Mr. Yanukovych’s entourage.”

Keeping incriminating documents of one's accomplices is a (relatively) intelligent, cautious action to ensure the good faith dealing of your accomplices. Why would they cross you when you have incriminating documents on them? Moreover if things go tits up you can always run to LE with said documents to get a favorable deal. Which is precisely what Manofort tried to do 4 months ago.

The whole reason Mueller didn't telegraph the warrant was to ensure that nothing would be destroyed before discovery, and that nothing would be withheld following a subpoena, which is why Mueller asked for the warrant and why the judge granted it over a simple subpoena.

(no, I didn't edit it; yes, I took this screenshot less than an hour ago -that's their real captcha)

And Manafort is smart. Just because some one is associated with Trump doesn't make them stupid. The only stupid people around Trump are the racists (racism is intrinsically stupid, sorry) and those that are there because of nepotism. The rest are fairly intelligent. Manafort's been making millions off of politics for decades. He's not a guy who came out of nowhere like some of Trump's cronies.

They're going after Flynn and Manafort to get them to roll over and give evidence against the top. I don't really believe in the whole "collusion" schtick but Trump is definitely guilty of white collar crimes like money laundering, fraud, etc.

This is going to make a great movie someday...
