Windows: ...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Saves\single\
Mac: ~/Documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Saves/single/ or ~/Library/Application Support/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Saves/single/

2) On the turn of your victory (or defeat), use the "lemme play one more turn" feature and save the game
3) Upload your final savefile here (the site is back up!)

MUST READ!
Our most sacred rule: Do not replay any turns!
If you make a mistake, accept it, and try to recover through game-play. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to "1 turn". In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous autosave, then play on the same way you played it the first time. Please let Leif or me know (either in the forums or through Private Message) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

This game runs through January 15th 2026

Samurai is an interesting unit, but its ability is usually wasted because you only unlock the unit at Steel tech. So I thought, let's see what happens when you get a Samurai on turn 0.

The unit has no movement points left because it's actually a Swordsman that got a weapons upgrade from a ruin. This can only happen once per unit, so our Samurai can now safely collect ruins without the risk of losing his uniqueness.

Good luck and have fun!

Hope that samurai comes with an iron. Not looking forward to 100+ turns of the "You need iron" alert. Doubt I'll be researching bronze working early - maybe an AI can get iron online early? Guess I can just delete the unit. :)

Not having iron (50% combat penalty) keeps it from being too overpowered at first. I like it. This will be interesting.
