GWT has finaly sent of a correct save, and it has once again reached us. :)

I'm currently at school, so if noone else want to play it or have any objections, I will play it around 12:00 GMT.

Turn done.

Shen Ling built a Med Inf and will now grow in 3 turns. No starvation occured.

Kuangbiao Haian also built a Med Inf. Both were sent to the front.

I also took new screenshots from our lands, the borderlands, GCA and all our cities.
Just request them and I'll post them.

I would put them up for war plan purposes.

Whatever you think would be good for war plans. I think the best would be the border of the two nations.

I think we should take Sodapopolis first, and then go straight to BoP, cutting them off from their mainland, and then we can capture them later. What do you think?

Forget Sodapopolis... I'd go after Lucky Harbor first, then pillage all the roads from Soda back to the empire. Then look for enemies to kill in the open field before trying for Sodapopolis.

They expect us to strike at their iron producer first. By ravaging the hinterland of their western empire, we may force them to bring troops off the iron mountains to protect their lesser defended towns. Then we can strike at Sodapopolis.

I agree that Sodapopolis should be taken first (no iron for pikes and can serve as a good base to attack the other cities)

I personally would only go for BOP, if military resistance isn't too strong. GCA might not think we would go directly for it, but it might have better defense than the other cities. If there is a decent amount of resistance, Lucky Harbor would be my next target, instead of a direct assault on BOP.

edit: Forty has a point. We would need to see what they have in that city, but an attack on Lucky Harbor wouldn't be bad to start off.

Did we forget to move our troops out of the agreed buffer zone? We'll take some flak from Lucky pretty soon if we forgot. ;)

Errr... one question.... are we going to attack.... ever...?

Let's stop retreating back away from their unilaterally designated "buffer zone" and get busy putting some major hurt on them.

@Zarn: I don't think we have the numbers to mount an offensive against Sodapop just yet. However, by pillaging the road to that town, we pretty much accomplish the same thing - no other town has access to iron. Also, by roaming around in their hinterlands, we force them to leave the defensive protection of the mountains to deal with our troops, which, of course, brings them out to where we want to fight them - in the open.

Yes, Lucky Harbor does seem to make sense. We take it out, and then get the road that connects all those towns to BoP, cutting them off from the homeland. Considering our troop concentrations, they're likely expecting an attack on Soda, anyway.

Next turn, I want to see our main med inf. stack on those hills head straight for Lucky Harbor, avoiding their roads, if possible. They need to leave now, as that's a good 7 turn journey.

Skip Sodapopolis and go for mr. Harbor. Like Zarn I would go straight for BoP (I'd been advocating that for a while) but the harbar is litterally right in its path.

Agreed (to you and 40J), and since Lucky hasn't yelled at me yet, the one tile border thing doesn't seem to matter at this point. I think they just wanted our troops out and were willing to accept the loss of the one part of the treaty as long as we don't enter their borders. If he yells at me again, I will tell him that someone is currently under trial for it.

 And that would be Cheetah? ;)

But, as I think further, that really makes sense, not to attack Soda, but Harbor.

Bring some of those garrisoned Pikes in reserve towards the frontline. If we get a surprise attack they would not be enough and if not we need them to take positions on the mountains and secure our defenses.

Well actualy, I'm surprised you have forgotten. The buffer zone only affected "offensive" units, so the pikes dont matter. And as long as our offensive units are behind the front, GCA has NO idea were they are!

They actualy made a stupid treaty. Now they don't even KNOW where our offensive forces is. :D

That said, I think we could bring our Med Infs up north and have them directly west of our northern pike within 4 turns, without GCA knowing of it. We would still need 4 turns to reach Lucky Harbor and yet at least another turn to capture it.

But, 4 turns is more than enough for GCA to send reinforcements to Lucky Harbor once they see our forces. Therefore I would suggest at least one or two Med Infs to advance against Sodapolis, to make them leave a few units there.

And another idea, should we make another horseman or two, and send our horsemen (3 at that time) down south and press up the southern grasslands?

We barely have forces for one assault. If you want any diversions I suggest we move a pike or two that way just to make them wonder.
