Ooorstrailier!
'Poly sent us their map, accepted, we returned the same.

GCA has COMPLETELY ABANDONED SHIP!!! Thats right, they abandoned Port Blacksand. Something is very amiss, because all their units have also gone. I mean, come on, even cannon fodder that gets in our way is better than nothing. I have a suspicious feeling those units are elsewhere.

[EDIT]: A bizzare message of Lucky's I found in the turn counter thread -
260AD
And now, only 10 years more for CGN.

Octavian, CivGeneral and I also had a chat with apolyton. Here is a log:

And a picture of our cleansed homeland:

OK, we still haven't raised the science rate...........Do we want Riders someday or not?

Also, please move the Settler one space south before you settle. Otherwise the eventual cities will be much too crowded.

Finally, is there any chance of starting an embassy with Poly, and investigating PoV? This is my third request --- on this matter and the science rate.

Thank you. I will check out the save for further gripes later.

Seems like GWT is planning something like an assault against CGN... I have a bad feeling about this.

And where did their troops go? I mean, the troops stay where they are, don't they, when a city is disbanded? They wouldn't have disbanded those troops I guess... Maybe they had galleys and are planning some weird stunt?

@DZ- AFAIk the science rate is low because we did he research plan with Poly and CGN so that we wouldn't research but Poly and CGN would, and then we could pay Poly for it. I'm not sure how far it as gone, but at léast it was suggested by Trip...

I have an idea of what they might have done in Port Blacksand.

It is possible that they offered the city to GWT in order to transport all the units in their city to their new capital on the GWT mainland. Then, on GWT's turn, they accepted the city and immediately abandoned it. I'm not sure if they thought of this or not, but it would make a lot of sense, and would allow them to fully participate in a joint attack with GWT against CGN.

Also, a new post by Zeri of GWT in the turn thread is stating that the save is corrupt and is asking us to send a new save.

I was at work and I live in the Industrial Belt in the U.S.. I'll pm them (Poly) soon.

I was checking the military advisor screen, and it revealed that GCA's military rates as Average compared to ours. Also, they have an Elucidian settler (presumably built at a former Elucidian city before Poly attacked), and it might be on a galley somewhere near our continent.

Victory! :D

.. or at least our continent is cleansed of the Gamecatcher Alliance.

Now. With GCAs military still being average to us, and all their forces disapeared, I can only conclude that Bootstoots theory is correct.

Shall we warn CGN of this possible treath?

And I suggest all cities are switched to Settlers and Workers and Granaries and Marketplaces and Libraries and all that is good and productive. :D

DZ: We are going to buy Chivalry. That's why there is no need for science ATM.

But let's nnot turn our back stupidly on the threat we might be facing but don't realise... They might pull out some stunt and surprise us totally when we least expect it.

I think we should keep our military around our cities. What if they plan an amphibous landing (not assault due to the fact that there are no marines). Were they loaded onto transports while leaving or just disapeared?

Their entire force would need at least 6 galleys. They don't have that many. And their Pikearmy can't be loaded in a galley. If they try an amphibious landing it won't be big, and in any case the CGN galley will give us a warning in time.

I want peace-time production!

For all of you who can make it, there is a chat @ apolyton.net's #ISDGFAMtalks at 0400GMT. If I am the only official there, I will call it off.

I wont be able to make it. :-/

But another thing, should we have an "instructions thread" again? One post from each department to be updated when new instructions are appropiate.
