I assume we intend to mine some grassland tiles around TF.

I am beginning to think that we should settle in the SW first.
We have 15 tiles between Eddie and our capital. However we could be very near to barbs and other civs in the SW.

I agree, we need a warrior to explore the SW areas ASAP.

But I doubt there are any barbs yet... and they tend to stay fortified in the camps in C3C for some reason, in vanilla they attack much more... or am I just imagining...? :hmm:

I have been attacked by barbs in C3C.

Anyway, I just noticed something. Look at the hill in the southwest. Look at the hidden tile southwest of that again. Do you see what land tile that is? Not me either, cause that isn't land, it is water!

After all it looks like the southwest isn't as big as we have assumed...

I think that there is more in the southwest. Being on a island isn't terrable eaither. We wont get into wars and will be able to set up a early warning system around the island with ships incase of the threat of attack. 300 posts, time to make a cool avatar.

Unless the tile the worker is building gets an extra bit of commerce for being on a river (which I doubt it is), I think it would be better to irrigate/road the plains -- as it would be quicker, and get more commerce for being on the river/ivory.
It might also be advisable to mine the plains on which the ivory is situated...

Side note: if we do have more sea to our south-west, then it might be more profitable to make our 3rd city to our south-east...

Edit: Well yeah...
