Turn 37 THE IRONIC-IROQI WAR 2320 BC-???

lurker's comment: I see that DB will produce a settler next turn. Is he going to bring in the Iron for you ?

The war has obviously started since you captured a worker. You gave D'nut War happyness. What will you do if the D'nut city does have units in it?

lurker's comment: I see.

For that marketplace-gold-upgrade strategy you'd need warriors which can be upgraded. I see that only carpetbomb is building warriors. Of course Dynopolis will probably (as it is building a rax) start on units. Will you have enough warriors or gold to have a succesful upgrade under Conquests' cost ? It might be more efficient to build Immo's from scratch.

This is actually turn 37 , sorry.

Moderator Action: updated it - Rik

Dumb question - since we see no Iroqi unit on Cruller does that mean it is undefended? Of are we unable to see defending units?

It should be undefended, unless they have a unit nearby they can move into it.

Also, there using single player tatics. Leaving cities undefended vs. an AI is usually the correct path (as they determine wether to attack passed on your whole civs power). However, that is a huge no-no in PBEM and multiplayer.

If they are using single player tatics to play this game, this is going to be alot easier than I thought.

The war goes well for us. :) If the town is without a garrison I doubt they have a unit close enough to defend it. If it's still open when our turn comes, we destroy it. So when we can once again communicate with the donuts can I please make snide insinuations about rules? Like, they should not worry about rules until they get Code of Laws?

I am a seasoned team demogamer after a year in the fire.
Some guy named Akots learnt me how not to do things, and I learnt some good stuff from Rik and Rcoutme, and maybe I am not a GOTM freak or from some odd Civ3 subculture, but I can hold my own with the right team. In fact, I picked this team based on the names signed up, since I knew I would be best off here.

Hey now, wait just a minute. Who are you calling a GOTM freak? As someone who has played and submitted every Civ III GOTM I resemble that remark! :p

This is great!! We must burn Cruller to the ground!! Also, once the city is ablaze, I suggest we pillage any nearby improvements. This will prevent Doughtnia from rebuilding a city near improved land after the war.

Yeah, burn the place. If they would have given us writing for masonry they could have built their houses out of brick instead of straw and sticks and we wouldn't be able to torch the place.

I think the foreign effort to force us to rename our cities is more than enough justification for this war.
