The Temple was built in Rejkavick and Walls queued ready to be rushed the following turn.

Time to deal with Persia. The Ivory and Dyes deals were cancelled, but how much would they give us? Wow! This deal and dropping the slider slightly to still give Mass Production in 1 gave us 498 gpt!

With a bit of MM we ended the turn with:
70% science, Mass Production in 1, 1246 gold, 500 gpt, and it only took 1½ hours!

Our scientists are happy and start research on Motorised Transport! Due in only 4 turns with 80% science leaving 355gpt – thank you Xerxes!

The Settler from Kazas was joined with Bootsville to take that city to size 10 and 25spt after corruption. And with a lot of worker actions, including railing to the edge of our territory near Obedoo, that was it.

End of turn 2, 80% Science, Motorised Transport in 4, 1670 gold, 356gpt.

In between, Zulu start Shakespeare’s Theatre (we’ll build it in 4).

Our Cavalry are positioned around and in Obedoo, with stacks of Artillery, all defended by Infantry.

    We are ready

    We declare war on Egypt

    And we wait.

    1480 AD – Turn 4

A large stack moves onto the iron hill by Obedoo, a few Knights move to the West of the city, but that’s all! None of them actually attack any of our troops or cities.

We bombard them, nearly every shot, knocking off hitpoints all the units in both the big stack and the small stack of knights are redlined. Then we send in the Cavalry. We attack the redlined units with Elites, then against a redlined Sword on the iron hill - a Great Leader – Napoleon (again). Napoleon, with no Wonders to rush (we’re due Shakespeare’s in 3 now anyway) forms an Army.

We attack the rest of the stacks with Elite Cavalry and even the Elite Warrior, but no more Great Leaders. Eventually all the invading troops are dead, and our troops are stacked again, waiting for the next invasion.

End of turn 4, Science 70%, Motorised Transportation in 2, 2532 gold, 497gpt

Some more Egyptian units move in, 2 small stacks and 1 lone pikeman.

We bombard until they’re all redlined, then send in the Cavalry. We attack the Riflemen and win, we use our elite Warrior against a longbow, but no great leader. We destroy all the invading units in our territory, our only loss is a Cavalry defeated by the lone 1/3 pike!

Then we get to attack – we can reach Lisht, we move our army in to spy on the city, a veteran Rifleman is defending.

We attack with our army. The rifle is damaged, but so is our army. The army retreats, the rifle is now 2/4, but as armies do, without further orders, our army tries again. More damage to both, our army is red, the rifle redlined, then no! Our army dies! The rifle was redlined so we call in our remaining Elite Cavalry who have already given us Great Leaders. The Conqueror of Athens approaches Lisht, but the Rifle is hidden, a pikeman is on top, so a Veteran Cavalry is called in to defeat it. Another pike appears, defeated by another Veteran Cavalry. Then the 1/4 Rifle is back. The Conqueror of Athens attacks, and dies! The Rifle is promoted. We attack with the Giant Stickman and defeating the Rifle conquer Lisht!

A single Galleon was destroyed with an Ironclad, then on to Buto, to claim the ice island for Fanatica.

We send in an Elite Cavalry which defeats the regular spear with ease.

Edfu is next. Our Army in Rejkavick attacks, and this time defeats the defending Rifleman! Two pikes remain which we defeat for the loss of 1 Cavalry then Edfu is also ours!

Rejkavick is connected into the railnet. By now it’s 10 hours into the session and I need sleep, so Chieftess takes over.

Pi-Ramesses is next. We bombard with our Artillery, the Temple is destroyed. We bombared agains injuring the defenders. Again, and more damage to the city – the University, Police Station and Cathedral are all destroyed. Still we bombard, until only a longbow is left not redlined. Then the Cavalry attacks. We destroy the 2 rifles, Pikeman and Longbow for the loss of only 1 Veteran Cavalry. Pi-Ramesses is ours and we capture a catapult!

    End of Turn 5, 70% science, Motorised Transport in 1, 2039g, 485gpt.

    Turn 6 - 1490 AD

In between Egypt unloads a Longbow, and 2 pikes appear on the coal mountain by Pi-Ramesses.

We now learned Motorised Transportation! The next tech is set to Flight for now.

We bombard then destroy the longbow and both pikes.

We can now build tanks, we need a new science queue, and CT needs sleep now as well!

Our minimap when we started in 1460 AD

And when we stopped in 1490 AD

We now have 42.8% of the tiles

Thanks to Chieftess for continuing to the stage when we can build tanks.
