No I don't have a dual install. I'll try again just in case. This could be trouble, as we really have no one else to play the save until the 22nd.

1. Download the 1.61 patch here.
2. Uninstall Civ4.
3. Install Civ4.
4. Run the 1.61 patch.
5. In Program Files->Firaxis Games, copy your Civ4 folder and call the new one Civ4_161.
6. Make a shortcut to Civ4_161->Civilization.exe on your desktop.
7. Download the 1.74 patch here.
8. Run the 1.74 patch and apply it it your original Civ4 folder.
9. Double-click the Civ4_161 shortcut to play the save.

What dave said, we're not patched up for this game whereas i assume if you've installed BtS already it'll have automatically patched your civ4.

Personally i've not bothered creating another shortcut but each to their own :)

Thanks for the help Dave, but... its created even more problems. On the reinstall I now get this message.

Feature Transfer Error

Feature: Default Feature
Component: Civ4Component
File: D:\Data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

This is after about 1/4 of the install, on the file C:\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization IV\Assets\Art0.FPK

I hope this can be fixed because otherwise I can't play civ at all.

Thanks for persevering jeejeep!

Sorry but some stuff came up today and I forgot about the save, so we may be a bit late. If it isn't played by some other Innovian first, I'll take care of it in the morning.
