Turnplay backup plans

At least one of the other teams has a system of backup turnplayers who are tasked with grabbing the save and playing if their primary player hasn't handled it by some set time. I think we should do the same.

How about 1-2 designated backups who monitor the turn tracker and gmail account along with the primary player? If the regular player hasn't posted a "got it" within 12-18 hours of the previous team's email / turn tracker post, then one of the backups posts a got it and plays.

I hereby volunteer to be a turnplay back up. I have no idea how to acquire and pass on the save though. Maybe it's in one of these threads somewhere...

Download the next turn's save (it'll be from Team K.I.S.S.). Open up and play it according to your team's wishes. The password for the save is watpotd, if I read correctly. Save and e-mail the save to Team TNT, RegentMan, and Ginger_Ale. If DaveShack made it easy, then they should be in the address book.

Then post in the turn tracker thread, and you're all finished!

Glad to have someone interested.

I think to follow the team rules which were finally ratified, we need to have an approval poll. I'll start a new "nominations for turnplayer" thread to catch everyone's attention, please sign up again there...

For reference here's the rule. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to require 2/3 approval for turn players, but probably won't be an issue.

A list of citizens who will be authorised to play the save will be drawn up
by the General Assembly of Doughnutians (GAD) and needs a 2/3 approval;
