On or about Turn 168 we will learn Scientific Method, be able to build Theory of Evolution in Kazgungudom, learn Atomic Theory and Electronics and be able to rush a second wonder with our SGL, Ali Ibn Rabban.

My thought has always been to rush Hoover Dam with the SGL, but on island how much good would that do us? I like Hoover Dam and always have. I am just questioning my own Civ reflexes and don't want to make the wrong call.

Would Universal Suffrage, that somehow puts a cop/police station in each city, be a better choice?
 
Hoover Dam will boost our whole core. US makes 1 unhappy citizen content if the unhappy face is caused by WW. Overall, weak wonder.
OK, we'll stick with Hoover Dam.
Would boosting our tech rate by 10% get us Sci Method any faster?
I don't think so. IIRC, 5 turns is the game minimum on learning a new tech. In vanilla and PTW it was 4 turns, but in Conquests it got bumped up to 5.

I thought that 5 turns was the minimum research time, so I didn't change the slider any. Somehow, for some comments made somewhere here on the forum, I got that impression. :crazyeye:
