I've been busy, but I see that we have a city, Teal Landing on the Gong mainland. :goodjob:

Even better, we now own an Oil resource (probably the Oil resource!) over there, which means Gong does not own it.

We also picked up some Furs, but until we get a harbor in Teal Landing it does us little good. I don't think a harbor is our first need in such a hot combat zone, but walls might be.

We could ask the Council to tell us what their Military advisor says about GONG. I do note that GONG is in anarchy, so their military power would naturally be in a lull at the moment. Once they've switched to a WW-free govt, I suspect they'll be able to muster a stronger response.

That's a good point. That gives us 2 turns to hammer them until they get to a WW free gov't.

Lots of Gong cities have disappeared without any attacks. Can Gong have been whipping citizens to produce units?

Gong is now a Monarchy. Two harbors, one Saltpeater, one Aluminum and two Iron are still connected to Nutbush City.

We need to keep the pressure up on Gong. I think they should collapse soon.

Gong's Attacks
We had several wounded units inside Gong's borders at the start of the turn; Tanks, as I recall. Gong ignored them.

Gong used 8 Artillery and 1 Bomber to weaken our units and then kills the cripples. If we can grab some of the Artillery that will make our life easier. Gong is not stupid, so I'm rather sure that the Artillery will be beyond our reach.

Gong did not try to attack Teal Landing, either.

Gong aimed at sea units mostly, except the Marines near Sugar Mountain. (I wonder how strong Sugar Mountain is defended? One Marine should not have been a threat to any two units in Sugar Mountain.)

Anyway, Gong is going after our water units.

Transport or Airlift?
Now that the inital invasion is over, which is the best way to send new units overseas? Transport or Airlift? I guess that depends on how many airfields we have and also on how many units we can produce in a turn.

New City?
I think that in a turn or two we need to consider having a second city in Gong. Even with all the cities they have razed, their culture borders still inhibit our attacks. A second city, even with a flip risk, could help extend our borders closer to their cities. Unless we capture a city.

Gong City Size
Over the last few turns most of Gong's cities have been decreasing in size by 1. This turn Dark Side of the Moon and Woodstock did not decrease in size. Any other city larger than size 1 did.

Could Gong have been drafting citizens into units? I'm guessing this is what has happened, but I've never done that before.
