Kuningas, can you keep track of the Saber/Babe war, too? We get 1 Incense from Babe right now, but if Saber does to Babe what we did to Gong, that Incense could go away.

Maybe we could establish an embassy with Babe, trade territory maps or just buy their territory map. Our reasons are ghoulish ('We want to watch you die'), but if we offer gold that might make a difference.

Random Musing
Could we build up military to such a point that we would be strong enough where we could build 10 Space Ship Parts in one turn? We could use our SGL to build The Apollo Program.

The spaceship has four parts that cost 160 shields each, four parts that cost 320 shields each, and two parts that cost 640 shields each. This gives us a grand total of 3200 shields needed to build the suckers.

CBob, we're strong enough to build the entire spaceship in one turn *right now*, assuming we had all of our units in the proper locations.

To mass-rush everything in landlocked cities, we'd need 80 Tanks and 40 TOW Infantry (or equivalent-costing units) standing by to be disbanded. See below for the math.

Target: 160 shields returned.
Split this into 80 shields, then split the 80 into 50+30.
We can get 25 shields from units like Tanks, Marines, Transports, etc.
We can get 30 shields from units like TOW Infantry or Modern Armor.
So two Tanks and one TOW Infantry give us 80 shields; four Tanks and two TOWs will give us 160 shields. Use two stacks for the 320-shield parts and four stacks each for the 640-shield parts.

It's a little more sloppy if we use Mech Inf for this; they cost 110 and return 27 shields, so we'd waste two shields if we used 6 Mech Inf on a 160-shield SS part (6 * 27 = 162).

Once we get all the right techs, that might be the safest way to steal a Space Ship win. If it takes two turns, I'm afraid that Freedom Central would be nuked and captured with Paratroops.

A full GONG Science Farm would help us learn, too. We would have to self research. No way Saber or The Council will help us learn these techs.

Maybe we should feed some cash to Babe to make that war more difficult for Saber? The longer they focus on Babe, the better for us.
 
Do disbanded troops help build the spaceship? Remember, the Manhatten Project hasn't been built yet for nukes. But why go to all the effort to build a spaceship? SABER +1/2 of BABE = domination win. Most of SABER's military should be in BABEland. We help BABE fight SABER, kill SABER, then finish off BABE. Modern armor are 15ish turns away. We do a mass upgrade, then hit SABER in a blitzkrieg. Once SABER is gone, BABE should not have much of a military.

At the moment (Turn 216) we're not learning anything; sliders are 100% tax to pay for Mech Infantry upgrades.

Anyway, could we pull of a Domination/Space Ship Combo Victory? Or is that too much to ask for?

If we follow Empiremaker's plan (Saber first, then Babe) that might be possible, depending on how quickly we occupy Saber's continent. And if we MA with Babe vs. Saber.

Back in MTDG I, Team MIA won with a combination Domination/Conquest Victory. It would be nice to be able to a Combo win here. Nice, but not as nice as winning. If we could pull it off, great. But I would not want to jeapordize any victory by trying to be fancy and a show-off.
 
We need to be careful about when we pull the trigger on SABER. It wouldn't do to invade their island, only to fall victim to a similar incursion by The Council.

We need to settle the remainder of GONG ASAP - it wouldn't do for SABER or The Council to horn in on our conquest. I'd also recommend placing military units to block the beaches in places not yet covered by our culture borders.
 
What was the council's military? If we fail an espionage mission, does the other team get a popup saying "FREE tried to do X"?
