Saber's navy is stronger than ours. We have more Cruisers, they have more Destroyers. They have Aircraft Carriers and we don't. In Battleships and Transports we are about equal.

Neither one of us has Submarines.

I don't recall ever seeing a Saber Aircraft Carrier.

So....

How are we going to deal with Saber's navy?
 
Alternatively, keep enough Bombers stationed near the straits between our isles that we can sink all their ships within range of our naval stack.

OTOH, they can do the same thing to our naval stack...so we'd better have at least a dozen destroyers riding escort on our Transports.

What land forces do we want to invade with? Do we have the Transports to move them?

If we plan to hit Claymore, how do we keep our boat movements secret from Saber? Remember, earlier they were able to see out Transports and moved Mech Infantry onto the coast.

Do we target Saber's navy before we invade or afterwards?

Could we send our Transports up to The Council's coast line for some extra protection?

I think that just bulldozing through to Claymore may be the route to go.

Hmm.

I wonder if a group of 4 Transports, suitably guarded, going up the NE coast of Saber, would draw enough Mechs and MAs fortified along the coast following those 4 Transports to make a main invasion at Claymore a bit easier?
 
My thoughts on the invasion plan:

Turn -2: All stealth bombers in built.
Transports 2 turns away from landing
Turn -1: All stealth bombers in Unschackled
Transports 1 turn away from landing. Have them further south so that we can invade many cities; SABER won't know where to concentrate their forces.
Turn 0: Attack Claymore with naval units FIRST to take out possible AA from ships.
Attack Claymore with Stealth Bombers
Take Claymore with Marines
Move transports into Claymore
Unload Modern Armor
Attack SABER's Core [party]
