Also, do you think that we are ready to launch. We have 14 stealth bombers.
Soon. Probably within the next 5 turns.
I would like The Council to sink some Saber Transports first. But that may not happen. I really fear that as soon as we attack Saber that Saber will invade us.
Once we buy Saber's plans we'll know how great the invasion threat is. And what kind of response we can expect from Saber on their turn. If half their Armies are not in their homeland, I think that works in our favor.
I wish we had a way to blindside Saber with our invasion. But with Fighters and their ability to Recon, I don't think we can. We could move all our Transports out of their ports; that would frustrate any city investigation that Saber might do. Then we could engage in shell games with the Transports; keep them moving around and hope to confuse Saber with their movement.
The invasion, on our part, looks easy. Claymore is rather weak and we could capture it easily, if we could invade right now.
Holding Claymore, now that's the hard part.
Babe
If we could persuade Babe to make peace with Saber (and if we signed a Right of Passage agreement) we could
gift Claymore to Babe when we capture it (if we don't raze the city and build our own). That won't slow down Saber in their response, but it does keep The Council from getting worried about our growth in size. Not sure about it; sorta dreaming and speculating.
Navies
On the turn of invasion we'll need to do as much damage as we can to Saber's ships at sea. This may mean rebasing our B-17s to coastal cities, Gong or the Islands. We are about equal to Saber's ships overall; sinking a bunch on Turn One will make their Aircraft Carriers (which we haven't seen at sea) more precious to them. If we sink enough escorts, they might even stay in port and not be a factor.
