Turns 260 to 269

Wow! Eight Saber Cruisers in one stack. That's the biggest concentration of Saber forces I've seen.
 
I just noticed that it's our turn again. IIRC, CBob is back on the 11th, but I'm not sure if that means he can play on the 11th.

I'll play the turn tomorrow after work (7pm CST) if no one has posted otherwise.
 
Can someone else play the turn? I won't be able to pick it up until tomorrow evening (about 20 hours from now).
I should be able to play it once I get home from work.
 
PC is acting strange this evening; keeps freezing up on me. I'll try again tomorrow evening.

Notes were sent to Saber and The Council before the turn was opened.

Once it was opened, I saw that many ships had been moved, so I tracked them and updated their new locations.

I also got the turn log up to date (mostly). No sea units were moved. Some land ones were moved, but then my PC froze up and that was the end of that. I reopened the game, finished mapping our boats and then quit the game and posted the need for an extension.

I did get one screen shot of Saber forces, which I will post shortly (and again in the turn log once I get the turn played).

This force contains ALL of Saber's carriers.

Saber has 8 Armies, but only 6 Transports (here). I would guess that each transport has an Army, but no settlers (Saber doesn't have any). If the Armies are light (3 units each), then 12 Marines could be aboard, two per boat. Full sized Armies would reduce that to only 6 Marines. I don't know how many aircraft a Carrier can hold, but Saber has 11 Stealth Bombers, 20 Bombers (B-17s) and 35 Jet Fighters.

I'm also guessing that some nuke subs are under this force.

Saber looks like the are heading for The Nursery.

I would also expect a ship chain to The Nursery. Saber has 18 Transports, with 6 showing in this image. With 12 Transports they can move units into The Nursery, but they would not be able to fight on the turn they moved in, since they offloaded from offshore and not in port. With 18 Transports they can move units from Saber to The Council and still be able to fight with those units.
 
SABER could have marine armies, which could invade amphibiously, removing the need to unload before taking a city. Those carriers could also have bombers, which would empty the city. We should also alert the Council. The more troops that are killed are less for us to kill later.

Also, an we launch the SABER invasion soon (next 2 turns).
 
Remember, we have an SGL that can rush the UN. If Saber inflicts enough damage on The Council, to the point that a Saber victory looks imminent, then we expect The Council to vote for us in the UN, so as to deny Saber the victory.

We will have to alert The Council about the invasion fleet, though they should be able to see this force on their turn (air patrols).

I had not considered a Marine Army. Saber has built two Armies in recent turns, so two Marine Armies are possible. That would be four attacks (two for each Army) so they must have more Marines on board the transports.

I am sure that Saber loaded their transports with the knowledge that if we saw them we would tell The Council. So even if The Nursery is reinforced, Saber will still attempt to invade. To them, there is no other option.

Has anyone been able to verify the drop in prices for stealing tech that Saber mentioned?
